From 38:50 or so, she talks a good talk about consent and how this still implies female passivity and male sexual aggression/obsession. She talks about how consent is something you give when you are undergoing something unpleasant, like a leg amputation. I think she’s getting to the heart of the problem, which is not necessarily that men don’t get consent from women, it’s that their idea of sexuality is full of hatred. The consent discussion unfortunately skirts that.

I'm a lesbian from the United States with Potawatomi and Delaware blood, and these land acknowledgements are silly and pointless. Outside of Africa, there's nowhere on Earth where ANYONE evolved on the land they occupy or occupied. All countries are owned by the strongest current occupants. It's how life has always worked. Grow up.

It's gone cold again in Melbourne, and Kali's fury developed into destructive storms in the lead up to the AAT/LAG tribunal hearings. Can I now recline for a wee bit and disappear in my core being? Lesbian, can't wait! So many beautiful words and meanings in this launch. Delicious!!! 💜♀♀💜😘

One of the ways to offset climate change is to establish mega biogas plants to generate methane for use as cooking fuel thereby partially substituting for fossil fuels. This is not impossible if there is a political will. In this context, the countries with animal power should take a lead in the production of methane for domestic use.

Vandana and the team , thank you very much for this interview and discussion of the book. I feel so furious when I see all the gimmicks they are upto, and I think it is a very good idea to send them to Mars or the Moon!

May I ask, as a lesbian myself, why does it worry you that gays and lesbians believe that homosexuality is innate? I figure it’s innate. Even if it weren’t, it would still be okay. But I think it probably is innate - and what’s wrong with that?

I lead a healthy lifestyle and have good genetics. Im now 71. Trust me, enough surgeries will come your way just for you to stay alive. You don't need to add physically unnecessary ones to the list. Just some I remember: - cholescystectomy (age 42) - two separate vaginal repairs and operations for urinary incontinence (thanks, two pregnancies) - cancer operations (x3) - 2 surgeries for broken knee (thanks flat cement path) - multiple colon investigations (thanks cancer) - chemo & radiotherapy (thanks colon & breast cancers) - thank goodness I had natural births otherwise I could add 2 caesareans to my list (oh wait, perineum stitches) -then there's the catarct surgery soonish

Kajsa: in you´re book you talk about a real big issue that you did not bring up here. The change of ontology in the socialist movment. From a materistisk ontology to a idealistic. This topic is realy importent and you realy example it well in the trangender case. Thatis a subject i like to se. It is importent for philosophy of politics and the marxist movment.

After reading a couple of dozen books over the last year and a half on gender-ideology and CRT - I must say that Kajsa's book absolutely stands out. It stands out for her research, her clear incisive reasoning and for her absolute relentlessness in pursuit of honest discussion and depiction of how the new ideologies regarding gender and sex negatively impact all women as a group. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I bought this book and think it is very well written. The points made throughout the book are cogent. I had never before heard of Spinifex Press. The footnotes on most pages are helpful to direct the reader to find factual support of the author's arguments. I am not a feminist, just an American guy born in the '50's. This is a very facinating subject and one more strange era in the history of Western culture.

I grew up in the 50s and 60s and I was a tomboy as early as the age of 3. I did not play with dolls. My sister - a year younger - loved dolls. I preferred little cars and trains and mechano sets. My parents let us be. They never said or did anything that drew attention to our different interests. They accepted them. In fact my father built a gas station for my toy cars. Imagine that! I loved reality and did not believe in Santa Clause either at about the same age. A point of interest: my parents were not religious. I am grateful everyday that trans ideology did not exist back then and that gender affirmation was not a therapeutic technique. When it did become a popular technique back around 2013 and when I learned about the steps it would take to transition, even had I wanted to transition, I would not have done it. The ‘thalidomide’ scare in the 60s had already put me on the road to caution about all drugs. There are also always enough potential surgical complications for medical necessities that also made me cautious - not that I don’t see the need for surgical intervention. But why go through it if it’s not necessary.
