Hi. Can you tell me, what is the temperature range of the knife? I see settings from 1 to 10 but can find no information regarding what the actual temperatures are. For example, what temperature is setting 8? Thanks

I was wondering if you knew of any ultrasonic welding techniques that could seal the bottom section of a MRE bag and join it into one solid piece of material. I think most MRE bags are simply heat welded like you might find in a food saver type machine. I was just wondering if ultrasonic welding could help with making a MRE bag into something that you could boil water in without having it leak.

Boiling water in a sealed container creates steam. Please video this steam grenade (from a distance) if you attempt it. Individual pouches for foods to be heated are designed for immersion into boiling water which is different than boiling the contents. Handling pouches of boiling water in the field should be quite entertaining for bystanders. Please video that, too but wear appropriate face shield, rubber gloves and an impermeable apron if you own one. Even the simplest experiments are instructive and often teach more than anticipated, but do be careful.

Hi Bob, is it possible to cut a 100mm thick block of eps with the zetz-24 hot knife? We are preparing to produce SIP panels - "structural insulated panels" (in a semi-industrial way) and cutting these blocks will be an essential task in this process. Does this hot knife withstand continuous work? Does it work with 220 volts, 60 Hz? Thanks.

It would have been great if you explained the type of material you were welding. Otherwise you come off looking like a non-technical amateur who buys pretty things on the interwebz for the sake of just putting up frivolous contentfor likes and shares.

Hello! When using my ultrasonic welder on PEI with carbon fiber I find it very difficult to keep the sonotrode from sliding around on the piece. Do you have any advice on how to prevent sliding?
