Greetings! I wanted to express my appreciation for the fantastic video you shared. I have a question about the press you showcased: is it capable of pressing chromaluxe panels of varying sizes? like all sizes ? Additionally, would it be possible to use the same press to sublimate hoodies and t-shirts? cordially
@GaryLBarker Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. The Geo Knight press we are showing certainly is well capable of doing any size panel that fits within the press size, including multiple sizes, or ganging up panels. As far as textiles, specifically hoodies and t-shirts, you might be better served using a smaller clam style press for those applications. Why? Often you can improve the press quality and overall quality of the product when you can use the best size platen, pillows, etc. to optimize the press for the garment. In addition, the time and temperature settings are uniquely different making switching between hard substrates and soft substrates more challenging. You always want to ensure when doing this you adjust for pressure, time and of course temperature (allowing the press to heat up or cool down to the optimum temperature) so the long answer is perhaps, but probably not ideal. Thanks again for your feedback. If we can assist you further or if you have suggestions on other videos you would like to see us produce, please send reach out to us at [email protected]. Thanks again and happy pressing!

Can we get a tutorial about how to refill the ink in the p9000
@GaryLBarker Жыл бұрын
Maurice, thank you for your question. All Epson printers are suggested to use the OEM inks and for this printer, those would be cartridges. If you are using a third party bulk ink system or refillable third party cartridges, you would want to contact the supplier of those for assistance. Thank you.

hello! i would like to try printing on a4 format sheets. i have tried to do so recently, unfortunately i couldn't because the sheet was apparently too small and slightly curved. because of this, i couldn't place it down enough, and the printer couldn't sense it. is a4 too small for this printer? (the printer prints on 60cm large max)

Yes, you can print on a4. When you place it in, yes, it will drop pretty low, but you can still reach it with your fingers to position the paper.

@dtgweb3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can feed a 44" wide sheet in this printer. That said, you need to be careful on the thickness of the sheet. Also, if you are printing full color, you need to make sure that the posterboard you are talking about is inkjet coated - meaning its made for inkjet printers, not just plain posterboard.

@dtgweb3 жыл бұрын
Hello. I have not had issues out of Illustrator on my Mac. Make sure you have the latest F570 print driver from epson.com. Also, when you print, check the box "finest detail" as that will res all up to 720 ppl before dumping to the printer. If all else fails, save a pdf, then print out of acrobat. If you're graphic has postscript fonts or complex postscript fills, that could be the issue and saving as a pdf will convert it.

How do you know what document profiles to use? I noticed all three images had different ones.
@dtgweb3 жыл бұрын
There is no real "correct" answer for document or source profile. There are many RGB/CMYK color spaces and one could write for hours on the benefits of different spaces. It really depends on the application that the file was originally created in and what its settings are for color space. As long as the document has a source/document color space assigned, the conversion to the output profile will be handled automatically by the color management engine.

Would like to know how to load smaller sheets, I have a difficult time with this. Also, can you load more than one at a time?
@dtgweb3 жыл бұрын
Hi Deb, unfortunately, you cannot load more than 1 sheet at a time on these wide format printers. The smallest sheet size width is 7.2 inches, and the smallest length is 10 inches. Its best to feed the sheet in vertically with the longest dimension going up and down. Press the paper load button, select cut sheet. Line up the right edge of the sheet on the vertical line mark of the roll cover. Lower the shed into the printer and it will eventually hit the rollers and stop. Then the printer will sense the sheet and tell you to press the down arrow button. Once you press the button, the sheet will feed into the printer automatically.

How do you determine ink usage in ml per print. I could do it on my old printer but don't see a way on the P7570.
@dtgweb3 жыл бұрын
Hi Don. Are you Mac or Windows based? If you are Windows, there is a software Utility that you can download from Epson called the LFP Accounting Tool. You can access it from the Support tab of our product page here. www.dtgweb.com/epson-surecolor-p7570-standard-edition-printer-1.html Unfortunately, if you're Mac based there is no such tool. Generally speaking, I tell our customers that in a typical "heavy coverage, dark image", the printer will use around 1.5ml of ink total per square foot of printing. This is generally on the high side but I like to play it safe from a cost stand point.

Sorry for the delay Don. Yes, you can tilt it more than 10 degrees if there is no ink at all installed in the system including in the plumbing. Meaning, you haven't done the initial ink installation.

When you are in the main Photoshop Print dialog, click print settings. With the Epson SC-F500 series printer selected as the printer, on that main Layout settings dialog, towards the bottom, there is a check box for "Flip Horizontally". That needs to be checked. If it is checked, and its still not mirroring, then its being double mirrored somewhere. The most likely suspect would be back in the main Photoshop Print dialog box. Look there. For example, checking "Emulsion Down" in the functions section would cause a double mirror.
