I hope the seats are more comfortable than on the Merseyrail 777s, but of course the journeys are longer there and you have more time to notice!!

I've never ridden one, but I have a model. On my railroad they're a smooth riding ,air conditioned in summer, heated in the winter. A most comfortable mode of transportation. Nice video. Thanks.

In the First "lounge" at NCL, there is a "sculpture of the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle (that) has been hand carved from sand". The text goes on to quote that" Travelling by train produces up to 513% less carbon emmissions than flying." Marketing drivel gone mad, and a poor understanding of mathematics! You cannot have anything in excess of 100% less than anything!

I like the Original Livery even if it did look very boxy. It gave the system at the time a unified livery. The current livery seems a bit too dark for me.

Being from the Merseyside area myself, I noticed when I was Newcastle that some of the platforms at Monument didn't half remind of Moorfields Northern Line. Yes I know they should be similar as they are both on Metro type systems but the similarity was uncanny.

I wonder why they're so bouncy cuz Stadler did a great good job on Berlin's ring railway 'S-Bahn' with the new BR483/484 types, without any change in infrastructure. They run absolutely smooth all around. 😊

That bounce reminded me of the original Waterloo & City ex Southern Railway stock. I was fortunate enough to ride on them when they were still under BR control. I do think it's a pity that the new trains are not orange so they stand out against the stations. Metallic orange would be good.

I suppose the only place you can stand in British subway trains is in the middle, as the sides are rounded, and the ceiling is sloped. Do people hit their heads often? This would be a no go where I live, parallelepiped-shaped traincars here.

The ride is truly dreadful. Anyone prone to travel sickness will be in a bad way after a few stops. Apparently, they are to be fitted with dampers. I'm afraid the previous carriages were significantly more comfortable. The station announcements are almost inaudible and sometimes missing - why not digital screens as in any other modern system? Crazy. Sorry to be negative but it needs saying.

But, they are still very uncomfortable. They need a track laid. Still bouncing from side to side and have to slow down to 10mph in places or passengers could be injured.
