Legend Wilko, glad I got to see him a few times before the tragic end. A very original guitarist, he's given me such inspiration to play and write songs.

Not heard the Feelgood’s play this great number before… thanks for posting! I have Wilson Pickett’s version on one of his early albums & always loved the song… cool that the Feelgood’s revived it!

Rock school was a great program for its time, I think the first series was aired on bbc2 in 1983 and the 2nd in about 1985.

Get that producer a new role... Need a lie down after those graphics. Great performance mind. They speeded it up a bit by the time As It Happens came to be recorded

God. From the States. Saw this episode of BBC's Rock School when it came out in 1986. PBS rebroadcast it. I was 22 then. Almost no one here knew about Dr. Feelgood or Wilko. Shame really. Glad he's still kicking.

Jimi used a thumb like this too, and it's how I learned myself because I couldn't barre with my first finger very well. It's more basic and rock'n'roll, and frees your first finger to do more...Still makes "difficult" chords more difficult though, because you can't barre behind them,...

It's a comedy show - hardly worth getting defensive about a man who knew he was in the line-up to be ridiculed... and got paid for it.
