Great lecture, thanks. One clarification: Signifier is not the actual sound the we produce while saying the word but rather the psychological imprint of the sound (the impression it makes on our sense) . Hence both the signifier and the signified are psychological - According to "A History of Literary Criticism " by M A R Habib

Annoying. The switching back and forth is super distracting. Especially with all the "yeah" and "right" exclamations throughout. Pick a narrator.

Terrible video full of misinformation. Kurt’s suicide was tragic enough without the cottage industry of conspiracy theorists trying to make a buck off fan grief. Imagine where our society would be if instead, those people had all used the opportunity to destigmatize the conversation about suicide. Start trying to better understand suicide and suicide risk so we can collectively work to prevent such a tragic outcome for the great artists of the future and the present.

@@TenThousandWhispersoh... Ok.... Hey what do u think about Joe Burns and his girlfriend Bonnie Dillard claiming Dylan Carlson, Cali and one other person (Mark? Eric? Rene??) killed him and that they witnessed it with Jessica Hooper and Jennifer Adamson etc. ??? Personally I totally believe it. I find Joe very insightful and quiet credible despite his memory issues

My wife and I spent the first ten days of October on the island of Hydra, a place I'd always wanted to visit. When we went to see his house on Leonard Cohen Street, other Cohen pilgrims also showed up. One woman made the moment by taking out her phone and playing Hallelujah (Live in London version). His 90th birthday had just passed and they'd had a LC film festival that we just missed. But one night they had an out-door theatre set up and showed the first two installments of the new TV program, So Long Marianne (not yet available in the U.S.). There's a LC memorial bench, a clothing store called Everybody Knows (Hydra) and we met a jewelry store owner who used to drink whiskey with LC. We've also visited his childhood home in Montreal and I've walked past the Chelsea Hotel on 23rd Street many times. Have you read Who By Fire, about his entertaining front line troops in Israel during the 1973 war? Very interesting, but more about the young soldiers than Cohen himself. Yes, I'm a fan. Your podcast was excellent. Thank you. Kevan Harris

This is AI generated, and not disclosing the source is disingenuous. It is amazing that ai can now generate entire podcasts in moments. NotebookLM is fantastic, and very impressive. It is amazing to see ai progress and what it is capable of. However, I don't think it is appropriate to share this kind of content without also sharing with people it's source. The technology still makes mistakes and is liable to share misinformation, and I do believe people should be able to consider this as they listen.

Thanks for your comment. It's just to share very basic and introductory informations about the books I personally love. And, AI seems to be really useful in this regard. Specially NotebookLM as you mentioned. I'm a painter and not at all into 'content creation'. If ten-twelve people get interested after listening to these audio files and go on to read the books, I'm more than happy. That's all. I'm not expecting anything out of this KZbin channel or so in return. :)
