Xero probably has the most integrity of the streamers/KZbinrs I watch. I have been watching him forever and he is honest to a fault. So with respect you are able to trust his views to be his and not influenced.

First off, super congrats to getting hands on. Very well deserved Xero!!. When it comes to open world games, the "living world" has always been of my focuses [when not doing missions]. As you mentioned, the worlds are not a barren. With Star Wars, I've always wanted the "free roam" feel around a planet. The scene with the cantina as well as the snow location I can being super fun walking around and exploring and does appear to Appeal to that aspect. This game looks to take the best of Ubisoft's open world formula and adds Star Wars. I can't wait for this game to drop.

Thank you Hov! I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm a sucker for immersive areas, and this felt legitimately alive without feeling barren or vacant or just "random people just standing, staring." Numerous times I got distracted from my mission because I wanted to listen to convos/see what people were saying. I think they nailed it in what I played.

When you entered space, did it feel like you were restricted to an area/level next to the planet or did you have more freedom to fly around?

The moment I left the atmosphere, I had a pretty good amount of space I could move in. I didn't try to push the boundaries, so there may be "pockets" but they were large enough to feel fun for sure!

@@user-yf7xe7zc6g From what I saw which was limited, there definitely are some upgraded clothing/different clothing options, some of which (maybe all) you craft after learning the recipes and getting the materials. One of the ones I ended up making increased my health. In terms of weapons, I think we mostly had the blaster, but it got additional "types". I also was able to find a heavier weapon during some of my missions to use until their ammo ran out. I'm not sure how much more we'll get, but it's possible!

Inquisition may look 'prettier' but it still looked janky as hell to me. The oily skin/hair and the robotic animations . While i dont like the redesigns for the demons in this game, im happy to see things look smoother and the characters animations look fluid.

Yup, I agree. There's been a jank, stiltedness, etc. throughout Dragon Age - and this new style definitely seems to be fixing it a bit and taking things in a better direction. I totally get the devs wanting to fix the aspects of the game that were, to be honest, the most jarring parts of the previous ones. I think the big new demon looks cool, and I hope the rest do as well since this is clearly just early lower level stuff!

It looks like they're limiting ammo for the bow. To my knowledge, we have always been able to be a full bow or dagger rogue but it looks like this is changing here? Not sure how i feel about that

I think they've talked about how it depends on which specialization you do for that rogue. It seems one is much more of a hunter/ranged base, which I think would get way more arrows/etc. especially after killing. So I think you'll be able to do your full bow ammo stuff.

disappointed to see the dialogue wheel return AGAIN after we’ve been complaining about it since 2011 but oh well. i also think the demons actually look pretty cool

Yea I agree, I thought the Demon looked really cool actually. And haha, the dialogue wheel returns...but hopefully it'll have meaningful and impactful choices. I know your trait/background adds to some situations, and maybe it'll feel more natural this time!

As someone who loved inquisition and origins, this doesn't seem to pass the vibe check 😕 The combat and dialogue seem very generic as well. Probably not something I'd pay full price for, but might check it out on sale after seeing more of the game.

Honestly, I totally get where you're coming from! I think for me there were definitely some dragon age heart in what I saw and heard a decent bit of the time, and as someone who loved Origins and Inquisition (I enjoyed the 2nd one as well, but the combat more than anything else really, though some of the story stuff was cool) It's a bit more cartoony than I expected, but not bad. Dragon Age has always felt a bit stilted and janky, not even in combat but in just traveling around as well, and this seems finally free of it. Either way I'm honestly super curious to check it out and will probably put videos on the channel for people to see!
