I love Slaughter but this guy went on to much bigger and better career playing for Blue Man Group and then onto that world band but I don't remember the name of. And there's a local guy here in the DFW that we know that it is his cousin.

Ever noticed that Phil rudd of ACDC used the same exact fukken beat in every single song ACDC played and with very very FEW EXCEPTIONS!! HARDLY EVER USED FILLS EITHER. . AND ID SAY HE IS ONE OF THE BEST DRUMMERS OUT THERE BECAUSE OF IT!!!

Always struck me how much he used single bass in those rolls. Most people on a double bass kit would overuse double bass wherever possible... He was a great drummer and seemed like really good likeable guy.

I heard he really was not much into double base till he joined up with Ozzy.

@Nissardpertugiu9 ай бұрын
Even on early extreme metal, in that filiation, they used double bass but they started as single bass player. And some D beat and even skan beat stuff were done at one foot. It have also a different pulse and groove, urgence with the accent to it than a more monolith double kick approach Even adapted with the double bass later in triplet you had that pulse though because they still had the placement of when thry did with one foot. Its like funky in a fast pace. Punk agression and impulsive too. Something that modern guys lack completly.
