Been raycast user for just few days but... how did I not knew about this earlier? This whole Raycast is awesome

Every part of this app and its eco system is stunningly brilliant. The app, the website, the extensions right down to the way you position yourselves on KZbin. It’s just genius, even Apple don’t do it better. This is why I love the Mac. What a team of individuals, must be great working for them.

Tried that quick add to cal, just errors and says "something went wrong" and does not add anything.

I've been loving this new feature! The only issue I've noticed is that when I select a browser application in the window management, it ends up opening in my existing browser window. It would be great if there was a way to specify whether I want a new browser window or not.

For voice control, you don't even necessarily need to link it to a hotkey if you don't have one programmed. If you copy the deep link for a command you want to use in raycast, then when setting up a voice control choose the "Open URL" option, and make the deep link the action path, it works. Saving you needing to assign hotkeys if you don't want to use them. Food for thought :-) Great video though! Keep them coming.

I wanted to generate an image with AI of my building's lobby. However I cannot describe it with enough detail to get a 1:1 render. It would be great if I could take a photo with my phone and upload it to AI, then have it add or remove things. This would be really helpful to present things to the condo board.

Rectangle does window management out of the box good enough with intuitive hotkeys and is free and easy to learn. Most "features" in the video are gimmicks for what you can do faster with mouse. Rest of the "features" is something for raycast itself. Question - why would I really need that?..

I love raycast. Will the current fuctions of raycast be free forever. I am debating betwen alfreed and raycast. I want raycast, but I am afraid, it will not be free in the future. If that the case I may switch to other one. Thanks.

Great! But unfortunately, it does not support full screen windows with split view. It also works quite poorly when using stage manager. For "create window layout command" feature. Thanks.

A month ago, when I replaced my Mac, I moved from Alfred to Raycast. Raycast is such a better and more useful product. Snippets are one of the countless reasons. #RaycastRocks

Hi Pedro, thanks for sharing your use-cases for snippets. I would love to use them myself. However the keywords are not working as expected. When I type the correct keyword, the text will not be replaced. Is there anything I'am missing?

What about for multiple monitors?

Would be great if raycast could take the current size and position from an app in custom window layout. So I can arrange everything and create the custom layout afterwards with the need of positioning / framing / aligning again. Thanks ❤

This is a really awesome feature and thank you so much for the video. Just a suggestion, I think that the lighting looks a little harsh, at least in this video compared to prior videos. But outside of that, I really appreciate the tutorial. It's really helpful for those trying to really get the most out of it.

Nice update. For the Window Layout feature, do you need to disable Stage Manager first? I'm trying to use it but Stage Manager is fighting for control as the windows are launched.

If only there would be drag and drop window snapping, then i could fully remove the rectangle app!

Excellent tutorial again 🎊 However i cannot use this functionality yet. I would need support for virtual desktops along with the multiple monitors😓

It would be great if we could have these 2 options when creating a Window Layout Command: - Control the stacking layer of the windows. For example, If I stack windows of same size above one another, I can't select back the ones below. - Add an option to control every other open windows (excluding the apps I manually positioned). This way, I could set for example my dev workflow on one monitor, and any other apps on the other monitor. Another use would be when sharing a screen, I could easily set aside any apps and only display the relevant ones (especially useful when you can't share on your external monitor because of its unusual aspect ratio (ultra-wide monitors).

How about window and workspaces navigation throw different workspaces like in Linux window managers like hyperland, you could navigate to different work spaces by window key and the number of workspace for example win + 1 go to work space one and so on

Only with Raycast set of tools I realized how much my thought is faster than my machine.

What about dual monitor window layouts? Can we have a layout for monitor one and a different one on monitor two for the same layout command?

Can we manage “spaces” or virtual spaces?
