HI there Celtic Drones . I live here . In the 5 k restrictions around Fairwood airport .you can fly in the airport controlled airspace as the airspace is controlled not an exclusion zone . Other aircraft fly on there all the time , to do so they get permission. A drone can also have permission to fly in this zone . It's very easy simple process to do so . You simply phone the airport AG . The number is 01792 208182 . Then you tell the AG that you intend to fly a drone in a are within the red zone and ask for permission . He asks you the location you intend to fly . The altitude you intend to fly at and the time frame you intend to fly . So for three Cliff you say . Three cliffs .50 to 100 meters .for example and say between 2 and 3 pm or within the next hour as another example. And the AG says . That's fine . The entire process takes about 1 min 30 sec . It's very easy and simple to do . Accord to drone assist Fairwood airport is now on the UTM ready ,which it wasn't last time I flew down 3 Clif which is why I phone , so it should be even easier to get permission. Don't be frightened of restricted airspace just follow the rules and get permission. It's easy to do Especially around the edge of the bubble. The aircraft are all flying over 500 meters. You don't need to go over 100 meters to get great shots . Plus the airport is not very busy on the week days as apposed to a sunny weekend. So the airport AG is quite happy to give you permission when no man aircraft are in the area . They have all the information of when aircraft are using the airport and airspace right in front of them so just phone up and get a time slot if you can't right away . Like I say it's very easy process. I have done it in the past and will do it in the future. You will be missing out on some great location to photos and film if you are reluctant to contact the AG at airport s. Also what I do is I record every phone call just so I have proof of contact and permission, just to be safe . Have a good day 😊

hi hello my fellow Swansea drone user,,,, HI,, dont want to be that 1 but ,,your very close to me,,,,,,, and if your new then contact me,,I F U WANT TOO ,, OK,,, 3 cliffs is a flight restricted zone as Swansea airport is less than 5k away and your flying in Swansea Runway 5k extension ZONE DRONE,,, its NO flight zone is from FREE FROM THE GROUND UP TO 4,000 FEET ,, Bud you just cant turn up and fly where u want ,,,,,YOU NEED PERDITION TO DO IT IF NEAR AN AIRPORT,,, To fly any drone OF ANY SIZE,, sorry nut unless u had permit,,,I AND OTHERS WOULDN'T RISK IT EVEN ITS BEAUTIFUL PLACE TOO FLY,,IT IS ILLEGALLY TO FLY THERE ,
