Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 I sincerely appreciate the encouragement to rely upon the Bible for understanding and pathways, even if there is not a specific and clear answer. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this perspective and for the commentary on Peter's letter in that context. Wisdom about suffering, especially in a world that too often tries to tranquilize and deny pain, is so valuable!

Sadly, being punished as a child leads to that avoidance and stagnant state of faith mentioned in the video. Unlearning the angry intentions of punishment and learning anew what is loving discipline takes time and courage. :)

Maybe a poor analogy, but I trained counselors for 15 years and I wholly agree that simply avoiding errors is not enough to be effective - we need to do "good works", whether it be in our faith lives or anywhere else. Effective helpers don't just avoid mistakes; they assert positive efforts towards good outcomes.

Paul's writings are remarkably encouraging and reflective of someone steeped in unshakable faith. When I compare/contrast his sentiments with so many worldly examples of self-pity, blame, and victimhood, I see what a challenge his life and attitude pose to all believers. May the Almighty be generous to me with reminders of Paul when my troubles threaten to discourage me!

The video led me to wonder how many believers underestimate or even forget entirely the power of the Spirit in their lives as time goes on. I know that the truth of supernatural empowerment to carry out the will of the Father escapes me from time to time and I'm thankful for this reminder!

The final question is excellent! Our sinful nature leads us to abandon simple obedience in favor of rationalizations, excuses, and intellectual convolutions that honor "our will be done." I personally need to be ever vigilant against these justifications of lawlessness.

Very useful and inspiring insights! I have to admit that I am still working this one out in practice - I seem to understand things intellectually long before the depth of understanding and resultant behavior in keeping with those truths occur.

Thank you for this video. I have been far too passive and am now learning discernment. Wielding insight and caution do not interfere with loving and praying for those who mean us harm.

I am grateful for this particular video, as the topic and reminders are directly applicable to a discipling situation with a younger man. I will now remind myself daily (at least) that YHVH has been more than patient with me as I have slipped and stumbled and in a sometimes messy walk. I know that the young man needs sound guidance, but also patience and encouragement. Blessings to you!

This is a very effective reminder that we are no longer of this world, and clinging to it will hinder our walks. Colossians both challenges and encourages us!

Thank you for sharing this very helpful reminder about challenging sin with love and humility. While they certainly are those whose methods contain elements of self-righteousness and judgment in them, the angry reply "stop judging me" is used by many to deflect the focus from their own sin so they may continue to indulge. "live and let live" was a popular saying while I was growing up, one that may have fatal consequences in the walks of believers.

I appreciate the systematic explanations and examples provided in so many of these videos for events and teaching in the Bible. Some of us were not blessed with an upbringing containing faith and Scripture, so what is familiar and even rudimentary to some is occasionally new. Thank you.

Pride and self-righteousness are a foul and fearsome combination. Yeshua spoke of and showed us humility and service to others. Genuine repentance overcomes our sinful nature. This is a great video, especially as the Day of Atonement nears!

I wonder if when humans are relatively comfortable and successful they inwardly attribute these blessings to themselves and their own efforts, forgetting that all things come from YHVH, thus growing "cold" in faith. Self-reliance undermines YHVH-reliance. I know this to be true for myself and I need the Spirit's conviction periodically. Thanks for this helpful video!

I learned as a child to use apologies as an "escape clause" from consequences. I agree whole-heartedly that YHVH wants genuine repentance demonstrated by change rather than placating words of remorse that are essentially falsehoods. To be fully convicted of wrongdoing and lawlessness is not a pleasant experience in the moment, but true repentance leads to stronger character. Amein! Thank you for these words of wisdom.

What a very timely and relevant message this is! I've occasionally thought about creating some kind of cloistered existence in order to minimize the negative impact of the world on myself. This video reminds me that I have a calling to share the Gospel with those who do not know Messiah, and that I can rely on the Almighty's provision and protection while I do so. Thank you for sharing this!

Simply Christian, simply wonderful! The truth shared in this brief video is such a blessing! We are all called to serve, but without the light of YHVH shining through us, we are unlikely to serve to our fullest. We must not rely only on our human gifts, but on the power of YHVH aiding us to carry out His purposes. This is such an inspiring and informative video!

"Wherever you go today, rest in Him." Faith in the will of YHVH clashes so often with our human tendencies to handle life ourselves and to try to control the uncontrollable. Thank you for providing this powerful reminder that at all times and in all circumstances, we can rest in Him.

Over 40 years of trying to help those with addictions slowly but inexorably led me to those walls of cynicism. It was time to leave the profession and to re-discover hope. Praise be to YHVH that I did. This is a very relevant and (from my experiences) very accurate summation of how cynicism develops. Well done!

Nice! I especially appreciate the ending with its challenge to not just intellectually wrestle with our different view of justice, but to get into the situations themselves and do something to show His grace and mercy.

Thank you for this reminder - the video prompted me to think about how the word "love" in the Bible is about acts and behavior, not feelings. We remain called to love our neighbors, as I understand it, not when we feel "love" but even if we have serious disagreements. Yeshua spoke a lot about reconciliation, forgiveness, and mercy.

There is something very helpful and encouraging about knowing that our Father in heaven sees everything. Because of this, I do not bear the burden of meting out "justice" when it comes to the wrongdoings of others. We can see all around us the sinfulness of this fallen world and countless acts of injustice - certainly those of which we are the target. But knowing that our loving Creator will hold ALL to account eventually allows me, with the help of His Spirit, to forgive others and to focus on changing my own heart. This is a very helpful video. Thank you!

I surely do not understand so many things about this life and how YHVH works. It's too far above my potential to comprehend. I know people who cite the "inconsistencies" of the Father as they see them, through their own values and wishes. I prefer the viewpoint of the video - to regard the suffering and pain of this world as reasons to come closer to Yeshua rather than to push him away. This is a very meaningful video. Thank you.

This is "quietly" a very powerful message - one I needed to hear, and one that many others would do well to heed. I pray that this ministry reaches as many of those who need it as possible, and since nothing is impossible with YHVH, that's a fair number. Blessings!

"Trusting in the unseen can be a lesson in humility." Amen to that. This is a very meaningful video message for someone like me who grew up having to depend on himself and hadn't been introduced to YHVH. Only now, much later in life, am I learning to seek Him out as a first, and not last, resort. Thank you!

I offer up thanks and praise to the Almighty for this video. I've been contemplating the duality of "the fear of YHVH" and "boldly approaching His throne"; being in awe of His might and yet commanded to be bold in coming to Him in prayer. It's not an "either/or"; it is both. Thank you for these thoughts.

Very wise thoughts. Too often, well-intended expressions of consolation hinder a mourning person from working through grief. How often do we try to soothe someone's pain because of our own discomfort about it? Lamentations shows the way. :)

What an encouraging and uplifting video! Song of Songs causes some believers to squirm a bit and to more comfortably regard it as a description of Messiah's love for His church, but in the context of Christian marriage, the bold declarations of love between man and woman are refreshing. :)

Wow. I'd never before heard of using the Psalms of Ascent in this way. Thank you for sharing these insights and steps towards getting closer to the Almighty. I find this to be a very enlightening video, both the storyline of self-awareness and the biblical history of sin, punishment, and repentance. The first parents responded to the awareness of their nakedness (sin) by hiding themselves. How often we do this, to this very day!
