i think you have a good assassin matchup, illusionist you lose even with tech, and i ended up adding sledge for the mirror

@@TheTekloFoundry have you played against Nuu? is auto loss for all guardians. After waiting for 2 years for support I think I will be leaving the class. They didnt even release not 1 block 3 earth card for Terra to be playable.

@@themisvoul1045 you fatigue nuu by killing her mask, so she cant rip cards from your hand with chi in the endgame. the blues are tailored specifically to be useless with her ability

i decided to cut yellows winters bite to add it back in. the main reason for its exclusion originally is how low the fuse count is. i moved it to the SB for matchups where you can reliably pitch stack it

i definitely think enigma was winnable with tech until they shifted to the 10k builds, i think its pretty hopeless for jarl until the deck shifts again

i think rouse would be replaced with another utility blue (probably imposing visage), although i think its a pretty powerful blue and it was just a bit unlucky how it panned out in the game. getting to send 13 with 3 blues by going rouse - pitch remaining 2 blues to sledge or use tunic and arsenal one is pretty fantastic in the mirror for 2nd cycle

There was never a world where a non-starvo guardian would have a good matchup into Enigma, so it isn't surprising. The best way to build Jarl is to just build him to be proactive to his intended strengths, with some variable tech for enigma via a go-wide package, then just pray you avoid them at events lol. But it isn't necessarily a bad thing, because Jarl will still be the "rock" in the rock-paper-scissors meta who will take care of aggro, while folding to illusionist. It'll be a nice meta balance even if the matchup is a bye (even though it unfortunately still feels bad for us guardian players)

@RandomParty1 I personally don't think playing a deck that can still lose to agro while having an 20-80 match up that will likely be in every top 8 is a viable deck. At least not personally when I consider 'viable' to mean reasonably able to win a top tier event.

yeah thats definitely a better line, good catch! i still get smoked by the restless but thats a much smoother line

its probably worth playing in any iteration of jarl into enigma that doesnt run summit in the matchup

its an auto-loss, don't even bother, at least have some fun with the mangles.

its a weird spot to be in, i think as long as enigma is in current form its risky to even register jarl for a higher tier event. any version of him you could build to get close to a 50/50 with her sacrifices all his strengths in other matchups. currently i think its worth just trying to gem roulette with a build focused to beat all the other decks in the meta

yeah i agree about plume! i would cut an arctic for it, if you wanna lean a bit away from runeblade tech and more into enigma options

Currently I don’t plan to resolve all the decompose cards. Ideally you decompose 1 carapace so all your felling/plow plays have the buff. My impression is that decomposing each time you see one is less important compared to Verdance and Florian who need to hit 8 cards and don’t have additional disruption outside them. It is possible the earth count needs to go up tho, I’m interested in cutting cranial for sow tomorrow
