Call me a purist... I cannot for the life of me understand the liberties taken by this group. It is almost as if we are watching a football game to see if the left can out perform the right. Why does the conductor have his shirt-tail hanging out !! It is probably to be "cool" and I am sorry but "cool" has already gone out of fashion. The acoustics are good.

Tylman Susato a Flemish composer from Antwerp One of his projects was a series he called the Musyck boexken, comprising Flemish songs. In the preface to the first one he asked Flemish composers to send him songs "suitable for publication" to show that "our Flemish tongue" was as suitable for music as French, Latin, or Italian. From what I can see there are alto, tenor, and bass trombones being played...this sounds much as it would have in the 1600s as Sackbutts (trombones) could have been used
