Hendrix was the man. He upset a lot of rock gods from that era; shame he didn't live to see what a legend he'd become!✌️

I know he’s been analyzed so much Here’s my analysis of his playing When he solo’d He was into the “sound” of what he played Where sometimes “we” guitarists pay a ton of attention to the “notes” Yes the notes were also important But a double bend made a SOUND he liked for the song Well my ears are far above my verbal capabilities here Maybe someone understands what I mean lol.

Jimi's always outdoing himself. I wish I had .00001% of his focus and imagination. Masterful.

*Jimi Hendrix* : The Master of the Fender Stratocaster! This version, compared to the album version, is quite more raw, less polished. Hendrix' guitar work in the above Extended Version is ethereal, man.

Honestly, to me it is crappy compared to the original studio version. For acid heads who cannot tell real timing only.

The JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE arguably the best band of the sixities. You had the best guitarist, the best drummer and a helluva good bass player. RIP boys. Wish i could have seen you live. Your music will exist as long as we have civilization Thanks for the memories. if you seen these guys back in the sixties you wee blessed.

I saw him three times in the 1960s. I was a guitar nut back then and I well remember how rock guitar sounded before Hendrix and how it changed because of his tremendous influence. May God bless him.

Hendrix absolutely shredded those riffs!!! I don't think some ppl realize how complex and unique Jimi's notes were, even if they sounded simplistic at times, they were the perfect mix of easy and sophisticated at the same time!! And at this time this was insane!!! Way before all the cheat codes of technology and all that, this was pure rawness and authenticity!!!🎸🎸⚡⚡💚💚💙💙
