Goddamn, the original looks so, so much better. I should've done a whole cutscene marathon right after I finished the game. Also, Auron looks like Hugh Jackman.

you do realise people will see this video without being at the point in the game where they should know that right its not hard to just keep huge spoilers out of the title 💀

[SPOILERS] when I first saw this cutscene, the amount of rage that was pent up inside of me made me want to see the most HORRIBLE things ever to that lizard, things that even Kefka Palazzo would probably be in utter shock, but after I learned of the horrible backstory of blessed siblings, all of that rage disappeared, and he Is probably one of my favorite parts of dawntraill 🤣😁

Probably the BEST or Among the best Characters in ALL games & Stories ever made. Such Sacrifice , compromise, will, patience, LoVe for TRUE Friends and much more. If this man was REAL, he would be the Closest you could find for a Perfect man, a REAL man in all sense, to the very end.

i come back and rewatch this scene so frequently, something about the way both jote and frans lines are delivered sticks with me, especially “ivalice is for the humes. the wood alone is for us.” i love that that one line is a perfect condensation of the “traditional” viera mindset. they view the wood and viera is pretty much inseparable, and to leave the wood behind is to literally no longer be a viera hence frans “i am no longer of you./i as of them now, am i not?” which i also think about constantly. I frequently wonder what was it that made fran leave the wood and her sisters behind when she clearly misses them greatly. Especially since if you have fran as your party lead one of the viera npcs in the game explicitly asks her what her leave, but i also like that its not even hinted at. Fran is a very private/reserved person and i doubt she’d willingly talk about such things, especially with non viera who may not fully understand the gravity of the decision she made, or with non outcast viera who would probably just be dismissive. I also wonder a lot why the viera hold such severe rules about isolation even with the green word, even the garif in the same game have much more lax societal rules than the viera despite also being withdrawn from the main populaces of ivalice. Even though ffxiv’s viera lore isnt identical to ffxii’s, the game has some of the same writers and mentions that past attempts to subjugate the viera and bring them under outside rule all failed, so i cant help but wonder if past colonization/subjugation attempts from hume armies made their views on the outside world so strict. Anyways a lot of blathering and speculation from me, i just really love this game and the viera especially

I love how Auron throws such a bomb of information so soon in the story and Tidus just needs to deal with it. Making him mature through, questioning everything and not just knowing it until the end like most cliche storys.

Just started a new character got all the way to Stormblood only to call it quits. The writing is horrendous. In a month or two in the game I haven’t made a single friend. It’s like playing a single player MMO.
