What’s especially funny is that the plot twist of this video is semi-true! 😂 *SPOILERS BELOW!!* The death penalty was never officially banned per se in California (where the localized version of Ace Attorney was set), but executions in California have been put on hold indefinitely for quite some time, due to a standing federal court order from 2006 and a more recent moratorium on executions courtesy of Governor Gavin Newsom. So in the localized version, even in the best-case scenario for Morgan’s plan, she and Dahlia would have to wait who-knows-how-long and hope that SOMEDAY both the court order and the moratorium will be lifted, just to be able to proceed with STEP ONE of Morgan’s plan. And that’s assuming Morgan either lives long enough to see that day or finds a sympathetic/gullible spirit medium to channel her when the time comes! And on top of that, chances are Maya and Pearl will both eventually grow up and have children (and possibly grandchildren) of their own in the time it takes both the court order and moratorium to be lifted. If this happens, Morgan’s entire scheme will become moot, gradually increasing the number of targets (Maya and her eligible main family heirs) far beyond what Dahlia can realistically be expected to take out.

I'm surprised the director didn't cut due to wrong music playing in the background...
