I followed this tutorial and my bear head came out pretty great. I didn’t use a Pom maker … I made a makeshift one , and it was decent. I wanted a larger head for a teddy bear I want to make my daughter for her firstborn … who isn’t here yet. Have you ever made a body for any of your Pom heads?

I was following along, and I was like "I totally remember where the eyes are". It turns out I didn't. So I made a lemur instead, I just need to figure out how to add ears after the pompom is done.

is it okay to use different color of thread, I mean like using red thread although the pompom is black. or would it be visible?

These are some of the cutest little bears I’ve seen, the nice thing is just about anyone can do them with some practice. I absolutely love them and will be giving them a try, thank you for sharing.

These are INCREDIBLE and the lady making the pom pom animals is sooo talented! I used to just make my own cardboard templates to make pom poms for my crochet hats. It was a painstaking process. So when I saw some pom makers from a clover that made it look sooooo much easier, I cldnt resist buying them. I was led to believe (from their ads) that ALL u had to do was wrap yarn around the device, tie it off and cut and VOILA!!! a perfect pom pom! Welp I was disappointed to find it was the exact same as I used before and that the real magic comes from the meticulous trimming which is done free-handed. So, if u aren't already artisticly talented and have a good eye for it, ur outta luck! I say that to say this...if u have ever tried to make a pom pom from yarn, using any template and cldnt get that perfectly symmetrical and fluffy ball, this type of project may not come out as u had hoped. The lady in the tutorial is so talented and practiced that she makes it look like child's play. So...if u wanna try, u shld ALWAYS give it a go and maybe with lots of practice u too cld make these beautiful works or art! Its obviously doable as there are many ppl making similar pom poms. I just hope u go in to it with realistic expectations. <3
