This vlog helped me determine what I really want in college, and I can see na dito talaga mas mag fifit yung skills and role ko. Ever since, medicine track talaga ang gusto ko i-pursue. Also my family supports me, kaya nag STEM ako. I took BS Biology and BS Nursing as my first and second choices, but I guess dito ako dinala ng tadhana kasi out of 3 choices, BA Communication lang ang pumasa. Hoping na dito ako lalo mag grow and ma-train skills ko particularly in english speaking and public speaking, para mas madali nalang sa future job opportunities.

Dapat po ba magaling sa English?

After the Pandemic, my social skills have immensely deteriorated and I got stage fright. I have a fear of public speaking, I stutter a lot and my mind just goes blank. My family says that HUMSS is the perfect strand for me since I don't face much trouble with English. I agree with them and it's true, English is the easiest subject for me and HUMSS is a perfect fit, but I'm anxious. I deeply regret not having done anything during the Pandemic for two years, I didn't try to interact with anyone and just sat in my room, answering modules without a care in the world. Thanks to that, my social skills have basically disappeared. Compared to my peers, I fall way behind when it comes to socializing. I'm way too quiet nor do I try to answer in any recitation, causing my grades to have a setback. Currently, I'm trying to take STEM instead of HUMSS, simply because I'm afraid. Afraid of speaking publicly, socializing, and more. Not that I'm saying STEM does not include socializing or speaking publicly, I suppose I'm only picking STEM just because it has way less activities requiring public speaking.

Hi po Im Joshua, I just graduated from Grade 10 this May 30. I selected the strand HUMSS, the reason that i choose this strand because i love writing(songs/short stories/poems) and reading, and watching movies, and listening to Music like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish. I use to dream one day that i will become a Singer or Actor and a Film maker here both in Philippines and Usa (But curently i still live here in my own country the philippines). I am very confident in choosing this Strand because i know,it will help me boost not just my confident, but also my performing and talking to many people, and my language skills . But i still doubt myself, for not choosing the A&D (Arts and design) strand, since this is where my dreams are tracked. Do you think the HUMSS starnd will have the better benefits to me someday in achieving my dream goals ? I know your not gonna notice this its fine. still hoping for you to notice it 😅.
