You're the one who got me into Blender. I remember downloading Blender 2.5 beta and trying to follow your Superman title tutorial, not knowing that right-click was select. Thanks for all the tutorials!

You are my first Blender teacher and taught me how to do a gold ring 13 years ago! 😊 Good to see you again and I wouldn't mind different videos. Hope you are doing well and best regards.

Holy smokes, has it been that long since the first gold ring tutorial!? Wow! I'm so glad you are here after all these years. I hope you stick around for the new content, whatever it may be. ..... there will also be new tutorials. 😉

Much appreciated. I've got so many ideas for content, but I would be doing a disservice to my loyal subscribers if I didn't get their opinion. I don't want to start live streaming fortnite if it's going to piss off those who have been with me since the beginning.... for example. LOL.

Hello my original Blender teacher :D I would like to see video dealing with your expertise in Blender with video in mind. The video editor has been improved a good deal so I would be interested on hear your thought. It seems like you should go with video that would keep the channel but also that you would enjoy doing. I'm thinking maybe you doing video work and then giving commentary over the those video would be the most easiest to produce. I do think of this channel as a learning channel however that learning could consist of rather than you doing step by step tutorials you giving your thoughts in general on topics in a learning kind of way if that makes sense. I was happy to this upload pop up :D

Thank you so much for your input. When I first started this channel, many, many years ago, I'd always envisioned it being more of an entertainment hub. My idea was to encompass all of my interests under one roof. People could come for short films, or they could hop in to learn something. Even the learning side was never intended to be strictly Blender. That's just how it ended up being. I feel like the reason I haven't uploaded in years is because it's time to evolve. Perhaps by getting back to my original intent. To inform AND entertain. I feel like I did one of those, but never launched the other. The only question is: What form of entertainment? Thank you so much for your input. I don't have a hard decision for our direction yet, but I'm going to think long and hard about it.

Apologies for the confusion. Blender has changed an awful lot since this video was made 4 years ago. I haven't made tutorials in quite a long time, but I'm certainly entertaining the idea of bringing this channel back to life. If I do, updating old tutorials like this one is tops on the list.

@@FirechildVideo May 2024... that would be a great idea and start with this tutorial! I started b3d 6 months ago and am using 4.1. I started this video, and all was going fine until 6:30 on the timeline, "We got some stars". Well my stars were no longer there. I traced back and my steps were the same until we got to the physics tab which has some significant differences. But being the stubborn SOB I am, I will play with it until I can find out what is different with 4.1 and what you have in 2.x Thx!

Great tutorial, thanks. (For beginners, the "Star Master" is the light blue bezier circle you made on level 2. Firechild must've forgot to show the renaming part... And don't forget to switch to solid mode using the pop-up next to Object mode at the bottom, to see the 2D circle get filled. And Ram Preview is F12, I believe, with esc to exit the preview. Side view is NumPad 3. 3:13 Use Nodes checkbox is revealed by clicking the center button with the stacked pictures ,to the right of "Node" at the bottom. Hope this helps.)

This effect is not as hard as you think If you don't want to create a space warp effect then just go on the last frames and a really fast motion like 100 to make it go really fast.
