Where the green accents on your instruments of your 992.1 part of a special package? Or is it just the white balance of your camera? It looks very nice - almost S/T like.

It seems that people don't like full digital instruments, but the one in 992.1 was just non-sense compromise leaving only the rev meter analog. Because of that you could barerly see any data on the edges where the navi map was shown and some other information such as time and temperature. The one in 992.2 solves this problem. It's natural evolution and improvement. I did not read anywhere about the quiter sound in 992.2, but in this video it obviously seems it's indeed quiter. Thanks for video. You need to do quick one for exterior differences :)) Light signature and such.

I've had both and can definitely attest to what is being said here. I recently traded my financed 24 GTS for a leased 25 Macan EV. I used to daily the GTS, and it is a practical car for both sport and casual. And similar here, the price for me were about the same, but the Macan 4 EV has so many nice features. To echo what Mike already said, the GTS is an all-rounder for sport and casual, but the Macan delivers a level of luxury that is absent on the GTS. The only reason I traded the GTS was because of the lease offer and because I put an order in for a 911 GTS (t-hybrid); there is no need to have two sporty cars. But if you can only pick one, I think Mike summed both of them up perfectly!

If they offered the T cab as a Spyder then that would have been cool. However that would be much more expensive given the way Porsche markets the Spyder models.

I love my Macan GTS and there is no way an EV model would give me as much of a fun experience! As well I think the bloom is off the EV rose as Taycans are stacking up everywhere…

Thanks for the video, I still have a split personality on this Macan EV, I really like the look and want an EV but I just want to see how it depreciates over the next 12-18 months. I sort of hope it holds its value but let’s see.

You have to compare the Macan 4 with „Sport plus“ plus Porsche Sport Sound, than it´s more comparable 😊

the new 911 are really GT cars 💯. They are wonderful but all the connections to motor/road continue to be engineered out. it’s fitting you can no longer even see the motor.

honestly, i think anyone who wants a GTS, is not gonna opt for the slower Macan 4 EV. They're gonna get a 4S or turbo. I don't think they compare just cuz of price. both of which could be obtained for around the price of that EV you showed. and you mentioned that they were comparable, but didn't show the interior of either. i was hoping to see how the ICE macan differed on the inside. I think your point of ppl wanting to opt up for the next model in a couple years may be the most valid point toward leasing. Not that the value is going to plummet. Cuz you know that the residual is set at the time of the lease anyway right?

I've had the alcantara steering wheel in my GT4 since the day I got it in 2016, and it's only gotten better with time. The naysayers haven't gotten the chance to enjoy it over time and they're missing out.

I drove the Macan EV Turbo and found it a great drive. But as Mike points out, early adopters are going to see their used car value plummet as I'm sure we'll see range increases over the next 4 years on newer models that will render the current Macan EV, not obsolete, but certainly much less desirable. I think that goes for almost all EVs though.

A good friend bought one years ago because I had one. He had never owned a Porsche or any other sports car in his life. I only drove sports cars since I first started driving. He loved it for the first month and then hated it as he was used to SUVs and large cars. He sold it after 6 months

Ok cab is better with roof down but personally I don’t like the side profile with the roof up. Targa more buffeting with roof up but looks way better with roof up or down imo?

I just picked up a 2021 Chalk / red leather Macan GTS, 36k miles, and it is CPOed until December 2026 for $60k, absolutely love it and all the tactile buttons.

Please drive that same route, but this time, make a CONSCIOUS effort to grip the wheel very loosely in a high-speed turn. It’s not easy to do: your brain wants you to grip that wheel tightly. But if you can overcome that instinct, a whole new world will open up for you, my friend. You’ll feel the front for the first time. It’ll help you with future reviews, too! You didn’t pop up the Targa’s wind deflector that is built into the top of the windshield. You would have had a much more enjoyable experience with that deflector popped up!

Oh the start button is a crime

I have a 991.1 Carrera 4S that I will never sell ever I love when I fire it up I love the sound of the engine the induction the rev climbs. There’s just nothing like it actually putting the key into the hole and turning it on the left side. This is what Porsche is all about completely taking that away, I have a BMW5 series G3 when I’m gonna get into that kind of car I drive that, they’re taking what makes Porsche unique and blending it in with the rest of the herd

Porsche is more than just about power, that’s why they handle so well.

I have many exotics in my stable. My track rat was a modded 991.1 911 GTS manual. I got rid of it for a Z06 w/ the Z07 package. Couldn’t be happier the car is on another level and a serious joy to drive .

Let me open by saying I’m not trolling anyone. As a long time porsche fanatic and owner of a few 911’s along with other Porsche’s, I have some strong opinions. In my opinion, a 911 Cabriolet is totally a chick car. One of my 911’s is a Targa 4S manual 992.1 and I love it. It looks better than a cab and I think is much more unique and I think safer too.
