He is taller than Sam though. Sam is about 5'10.5", Caviezel is an impressive 6'2". He doesn't have Michael Ironside's deep, rumbling, threatening voice, but a soft, intimidating murderous voice. They both have the same demeanor though towards whoever they encounter: "If I have to protect you, I will gladly put a bullet in your attacker's knee. If I like you, I'll stand by you. If I don't like you...well, I think we both know who's ending up in the morgue." And of course, THEY LOOK DEAD SIMILIAR

Most definitely...first American and left handed Bond, but he can shoot with both hands. However, I believe James (Caviezel heheh) is more suited to the role of Sam Fisher.
