As someone who uses CapCut to edit my stuff (and I have used templates before learning how to do it on my own) I really find it sick how communities are now for 2024. I’m a casual editor and the talented ones need to give advice to help them not push them down.

I have been editing with CapCut since 2020 as the editor I use many different editing apps and the truth is I have improved a lot way beyond what I should have it to be honest I don’t expect myself to be number one I just want to have friends that’s pretty much it I feel like everyone deserves a chance to be number one sometimes and we should all care about each other in this community not fight

and nowadays, i feel like most people edit for fame or they treat it like a competition and they forgot that editing is meant to be a hobby, something that makes us happy, something that we love to do

i’ve been editing for 4 years now. In the beginning i was happy and having fun with editing, but after a few months i got sucked into that “toxic” hole. i tried so hard to fit in, i got extremely jealous when someone who had the same editing style i had would get more attention than me. i only cared about likes, followers, and views whenever i would try out for editing groups and someone else got accepted and i didn’t i would say to myself “what?? how did they get in? i’m better than them! why wasn’t i accepted? i have more followers than them, i’m better that them!” then something kinda clicked, i tried out for an editing group named “spotify soc” i submitted one of my edits (that i spent 2 days to finish) and i got declined with 0 feedback at all. i genuinely felt my heart shatter and i just cried so then i realized, why and i trying so hard to meet these standards for some of these big groups, why am i changing myself to fit in, why am i abandoning the editing style i love just to get into these groups that have over 20K members. Some people may not like my edits i do, all that matters is that i’m happy with my edits. So from then up until now, i’m perfectly fine with having my small little edit account, i don’t need thousands of likes and views, i just need to be me

as a capcut editor i see so many ae edits that can be just as well made on capcut but people just say the edit is good cuz it’s on ae and it’s really annoying when they glaze ae because there can be many edits that are just as good or even worse than mobile editing apps

Fr like there’s this one KZbinr who hasn’t even tried CapCut and saying that “CapCut is bad🤡 “CapCut has no shakes” “CapCut has no CC” “CapCut always crashes” “CapCut doesn’t have transitions”. We all have to understand that it depends on the editor too, and sometimes it’s just not easy
