Hey Sandy, Susi from Italy here. Still going strong, experimenting away!! Was just wondering if the C5 embossing took would work in the C4, then I found your video!! Off to buy the embossing blade, reinstall SCAL and finally get the Silhouette to score decently. Im actually using the C4, Juliet and original Maker. Cricut software is definitely not designing software so design in Studio, saved as svg and cut and score with Maker. Scoring blade on Juliet works fine but with one houding try changing blade type each time for 70 boxes🥺. You're a life saver .. But then I've still got files we made when you were writing the manual for Craft Robo Design program back in 2006/7??? Hugs and Happy 2025

I saw this technique with the cricut but was unable to apply it with SCAL. Your video really helped a lot!!

Hi. Great videos. Since this video is titled SCAL and Create, the same steps are used in both programs?
@kaysharon12382 ай бұрын
Create looks so much like SCAL, were they developed by the same company?

Wonder if making a shadow layer with outline only will work. Then you could delete the original text and fill in the shadow layer.

Hi Sandy, just found you on KZbin and I love this video. I do have a question. What if I wanted to use cut lines instead of score lines for a box. Which option is the best to add to the box for cutting? I don't really understand the spacing on this. Thanks again for you videos.

.Why would one need to know where the cut point starts? Thank you
@sandymccauley3 ай бұрын
Sometimes you might see a bad cut... like a little jagged spot or something and you can verify if it happens to be where the blade started and ended on that path. Then, you can decide if a different location MIGHT be advisable or not.

Hi Sandy, would you recommend the Cameo 4 machine? I'm currently using the KNK Maxx Air, which doesn't have the second pen mount. Does that matter? Does Can Sure Cuts Alot work well with single pen/blade mounts? I'm still using Make the Cut software! Not got around to buying SCAL, but think I need to going forward.

Sandy, you use CorelDraw ?
@sandymccauley3 ай бұрын
I do not. In my opinion, it makes more sense for me to focus my teaching on the programs primarily being used by cutters owners because they have far viewer accurate videos available to them compared to the MANY MANY videos made by Corel Draw users. :)

Hi Sandy, Very interesting, thank you. The link for the L shape didn't work, it just comes up as a lot of text. Do you sell the pen holders and ship to Australia? Cheers Rob

Great video that shows the need for a scoring/creasing tool of some type. Anyone who makes 3D models or packaging needs one.

Is this the SCAL6 Pro version? Because I upgraded from 5 to 6 and I don't have the option to split text nor does the Command Shift allow me to switch fonts. I'm on a Mac and it says I have Ver 6 open but in my About SCAL it says SCAL 5. I'm confused!

Hi, Sandy...I look forward to watching all of your videos but my initial question is: When you make all the adjustments in the Cut Settings window, do those transfer to the FCM file? (I'm using ScannCut)

This was so totally amazing. I love it. I don't use my BSnC because it does not scan good and get good cuts. This will be a game changer for me. I seen Sandra did the reg marks and I thought ok I can do that but this is so much easier. Sandy if I wanted to do more than one cut at a time would I have to readjust things like placing the rectangle and starting fresh or as long as my rectangle has not been off my mat can I use it over and over again. Thank you.

O my the flatten is awesome. No more front minus back and yada. But I do want to ask you Sandy when you did the orange rectangle you rounded the two bottom corners, could you in turn go back and bevel the top to corner to make it a tag shape. Thanks. I love these video's and appreciate your time so much.

Yes! I just tested it out and you can definitely change any corner to whichever type you want. :)
