this only works if the Skeleton does an Overhead slash. I was standing there for like 30 Mins. The skeleton only was doing horizontal slashes. what a pain.

For who did not do the quest before this point: Pick a pawn, Place it on one of the corner of the door (i did the right one), Soon after you placed it, walk against it to push it through the door, The pawn will glitch through it and attack the wooden thing (mine missed the attack two times), It took me 20 min but it worked.

can confirm you need to complete the Trial of Archery quest. i rested at the campsite till night. went to the door, saved and reloaded and this worked perfectly. prior it did not at all no matter what i ddi

is that really the intended method to open this shortcut? seems like there ought to be a better designed way...

I reach this door before quest and when i try this method after quest no skeletons spawn at all

I was able to get this to work after testing something since I didn't initially see any skeletons: I had to rest at the campfire outside the cave until it was night, came back to the cave, did the save and reload trick, and then the skeletons spawned for me! Makes sense, since I've only seen skeletons spawn at night. Hope this works for others!

No longer work, I've completed the quest here, and did whatever OP did, and only the big skeleton spawn for me and it kept backing away.

Only the big skeleton spawns for me so it doesn’t work cause only the little ones hit the door

It worked, came during the day and fought my way in till nightfall, no skeletons, saved the game, went to main menu, loaded the save and three skeletons were there to break the door

Only the big skeleton is spawning for me and he keeps running and don't attack the door, so annoying!

Worked perfectly! Didnt even need to reload the game, just showed up at nighttime. Took a minute to persuade the skelees to break the door open tho

savedd and reloaded soo much it triggered denovo still couldnt get in. tried saving further back and saving as close to the door as possible, tried saving while holding grab, tried sprint jumping and saving while my arms were clipping through the door, tried casting spells and waiting for the animation to clip my arm through the door. tried spamming high levin. nothing spawns. i started when the clock said it dark out i tried until it became midnight i stopped around 15% after midnight

It wasn’t working at all, but Once I finished the trials of archery missions and slept at a campsite. I came back at night save and exited and it worked first try

It does not work for me, kinda irritating. I’m pretty far into the story, I was just hoping to unlock a shortcut. I’ve tried Reloading 20+ times not sure what to do

Its worked!!! But a Garm and like 6 choppers spawned behind me, so be ready.

I got it to work for me. After the quest was done, i had to go rest until the following night. Followed this video, and it worked one time. I kept doing it the same night i finished the quest and was unsuccessful. The door is open now, though. Thanks for this

Did work for me, thank you! I followed OP's instructions to the letter. First did the quest in the area to save the sister. Then came back, cleared the room of enemies again (I had a warg and beefed up harpies in there), saved next to the door, quit to menu, reloaded in and voila. The skeletons took a long time to break the door though lol.

Just did it myself. and for some reason there was a warg in the large room too LUL

Tried this for days before doing the A Trial Of Archery quest and nothing spawned, after completing that quest I saved and loaded at the door and they finally spawned. Be careful with the large skeleton, very strong.

It didn't work for me, I rested using campsite for nightfall and reloaded but nothing happens.

They don't spawn for me. :C I don't have the quest tho, this may be a determining factor.
