The pool at my university finally opened after over 6 years of being closed. I went to swam laps yesterday for the first time in like 10 years when I did a season of water polo in high school and I only made it like 18 lengths in a 20m pool. I legit thought I was going to die at one point. All I kept thinking about was how I could never do an adult swim team, at least for like 3 years until my stamina is there again.

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. A breakup is difficult enough and I can only imagine how much more difficult it is when you factor in home ownership. A lifetime ago I broke up with someone I'd been seeing for 6 years and things were really rough at first. Thankfully, with hindsight, I can say that the breakup was one of the best things to happen to me and just 2 years later I met the most amazing person in the world and we've been together for 20 years now! (Yes, I'm old) All that to say, it's definitely shitty, it definitely hurts and all that's NORMAL...but it DOES get better ("when one door closes, another opens" and all that) and one day you'll look back at this being a decision you're glad you made. (PS I think you'll really enjoy acting class!)

I was in a very similar situation about a year ago! I’m 28 now, and I broke up with my partner of almost 7 years last December. We had been living together in Vancouver for 4 years, and I had to move all of my stuff to Calgary (where I lived before, and where I currently go to uni). It was rough for sure, but almost a year later and I am absolutely thriving being single. I haven’t gone on a single date and have just been focusing on having fun on my own, since I hadn’t done that since I was about 20. I just tried to keep myself busy and fill my weekends/down time with staycations (Canmore, the Zoo/science centre, taking myself to movies, etc.). Calgary is definitely pretty coupled up, but us single gals are out there if you ever want to add another friend😊

Sorry to hear what you're going through. I'm 30 and also ended a 5 year relationship last summer. Like you, it was a very tough few months and i panicked about 'starting from scratch', but one summer later I've met an amazing guy and 10 times happier than I was before. Promise you this gets better and you'll reap the rewards of this difficult decision in months to come x

I am usually a vlogmas watcher but it does kinda bum me out that everyone does vlogmas so it’s hard to stay on top of it all as a content consumer. Last year on my channel I did vlogtober which was fun since October is a less busy month typically. I’m hoping to do it again. I think Allana Davison is a great source for ideas since she does vlogmas and Every Day May, both of which are a mix of sit down videos and vlogs. Congrats on taking next steps to the apartment!

I used to be a physical book or nothing type of girl and I got a Kobo last year and LOVE it! It’s great for library books! They have their own version of Kindle Unlimited which gets you to access to a bunch of books but I found a lot of the books are…….not good haha. But if you love the library and want the convenience of packing a book with you everywhere you go really consider a Kobo, mine goes everywhere with me and I have definitely increased my reading!

You can 100% hook up a Kobo to the library - at least here in Ontario/Toronto!! My daughter (14) gets a lot of her books from the library on her Kobo. (Okay, going to watch the rest of the video now!)
