did you order from the site and have it sent to Lake Havasu?
@PinayAndtheWhiteGuy5 күн бұрын
Hello! We did order from Hiker, and had it delivered to Lead Dog Motorsports in Lake Havasu. It was very easy to pickup from there and they were extremely helpful. Only downside was having to wait for others on their Hikers as they ship about 3 or 4 on one truck. But we didn't have to wait long. Hiker can sometimes ballpark it for you on the estimated shipping date. Hope that helped, let us know if you have anymore questions!

What a setup you have! Tent palace 😊 Exploding Kittens is one of our favourite games as well. We were there a week before you. But just day tripped from Flagstaff this time. We had a friend who had never been to the South Rim, but we had taken her to the North Rim several times. We also spent a day at Wupatki and Sunset Crater National Monuments. The campground at Sunset Crater looked really nice, and we've marked for a trip when we finally have a trailer.

The big box on the front with the batteries and fridge sitting in the sun will reach 160- 175 degrees and will drain your batteries and overwork the fridge. Suggest getting one of those windshield silver RV protection wrap around and some magnets stick it on when camping to cool that big black box. It drops the temp about65 degrees. Another item for filtered drinking water is a Life Saver...20 litre of water and the filter lasts 20,000 litres. Not cheap but military grade stuff (British Military uses these)

A few comments and questions. A bit low on audio volume, but lots of great info. 1) I had a Parkit360 but sent it back. I didn't like the way their universal hitch mounted like you said to the Hiker. I like your solution but didn't want to do any drilling. You should do a whole video about the universal mount and Hiker. 2) Sounds like there was an issue with the BMS with that battery. Probably nothing with your Hiker electrical system. Resting voltage LiFePo4 is around 13.4V. Charging is 14.4 to 14.6V. Anything under 12V will damage the battery and the BMS should cut power if it's doing it's job. 3) I had the same issue with the straps for the 270 awning. I ended up just using a truckers hitch with some good rope to secure awning. I'm able to really get some leverage on that truckers hitch to get the back bar parallel with the back galley and tie it off. Also, you might want to guy down the middle of the awning between the pole supports to make some gutters when it rains to drain the water. Thanks for the video!

Great comments. Living in Canada getting a Mid range XL 5x10 would cost me $18,000 Plus and I would have to go get it. So the cost is too high for us here. The Hiker trailer isn't a super hard build, that's if you have skills to do this. Walls are 3/4" ply doors windows rear door all bought Vintage Tech. So it's just a matter of time to build. Plus instead of buying a colour, just use white aluminum and vinyl wrap it the colour of choice. Also Pathway & Runaway are basically the same trailer.

The Hiker was a great choice, becoming part of an HOA, not so much. Some options are a great addition, but many can be had for much less than what Hiker charges to install ( although I think they make a great camper, that’s why I own one 😋 ). For example, “Adventuring with Amanda” has one of my favorite ideas for camp showers, or just getting a frig that plugs into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter and has the capacity for multiple day stays.
