Another Burt Reynolds recommendation: Gator (1976) which is the sequel to White Lighting (1973), very underrated sequel and better than the first. Lots of dangerous stunts 🔥🔥👍👍

As a fan it pains me to say this but I have to be honest - Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a bad movie. The film is total a mess. It's an overstuffed, poorly paced, confusing, convoluted movie with an unnecessarily complicated plot. There are far too many characters, some of which have been needlessly shoehorned into the story. Many if the characters are also very bland, with very little personality, charisma, likability, humor or chemistry. It's overstuffed with unnecessary dialogue, dull subplots, pointless characters and scenes which go on for far too long. It's not funny either. I didn't laugh once during the movie, and neither did the audience I was watching it with. It's not frightening either. There are no scares in the film. Laughs and scares are two things you expect from a Ghostbusters film, but this latest entry in the series is completely devoid of any. Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan may be talented directors, but they're the wrong people to be writing Ghostbusters films. Afterlife was mediocre at best, but Frozen Empire is just plain bad. With a heavy heart, I rate this film 3 out of 10. I feel a lot of fans are in denial about just how bad this film is.

“Champions” (1997) with Louis Mandylor, Ken Shamrock and Danny Trejo is another extremely underrated Direct To Video Martial Arts Action movie, one of the most underrated Martial Arts movies of all time that nobody ever talks about of even heard of. Totally recommend that one, on KZbin 🥊🥊🥋🥋👊🏻👊🏻💪💪🔫🔫🔥🔥

Louis Mandylor should have definitely made it big as an action star, he is one of the most highly underrated action stars ever, Hollywood did not utilize him well later in his career. You heard of him before? The brother of Costas Mandylor

When I read the book. Ithought why have movie makers never done the whole look Stoker described him? It is a lietray classic. They also leave out the more chilling parts of Harkers imprisonment in the castle.
@tmaguire207511 ай бұрын
I never understood that. I know the iconic look came from Bela Lugosi’s portrayal but the book Dracula looks nothing like this. It’s all about how the pop culture portrayed him. Yes, Harker’s imprisonment is more chilling. The vampire women seducing him, and still trying to feed off his blood. Terrifying!
@darrenwiggins995711 ай бұрын
Yes and Lugosi had the Hungarian accet that became attached, to how Dracula would talk. In the book however he is desctibed as haveing . No detectable accent.

Good luck with the move. That stuff can be stressful, lol. I am a long time follower, made a new account because the old one got banned. I appreciate your reviews and goodfellas is definitely comparable to godfather, thats a tough call which one to favor though. ‘Get Carter’ is also gangster movie you should give a try if u havent, i quite liked it. Would also be cool if you reviewed ‘Dark City’ at some point. Meh, i usually enjoy your reviews regardless of the movie in question

Thank you!! Yeah moving is stressful but I’ll make it work. Get Carter, I might have that saved to my queue. Dark City, that’s a good one. I’ve never seen it but heard a lot about it. I will absolutely review that one when I return.

Hell yeah. Really, feels like nothing matches T-2. The music is also perfect alongside the opening sequence to set the tone. Really, what other movie painted dystopia/sci-fi in such a perfectly cynical and badass way? After this movie you also cant help but notice Robert Patrick. I think this role just fit him like a glove. He did do a scifi movie “Fire in The Sky” which is very good. The truck scene was certainly good; as was the mall scene when Terminator pulls the shotgun out of a bouquet.
@tmaguire20752 жыл бұрын
Fire in the Sky? That rings a bell. Oh yes. The truck scene is amazing!! What else can I say about this movie. This is a masterpiece. I really think if anyone is trying to study film, this should be on their list.

Reviews of The Gray Man are mixed but if you liked the intermittently fast and furious pace of Bill Fairclough’s epic fact based spy novel Beyond Enkription in The Burlington Files series then you will love Anthony Russo's The Gray Man and vice versa. They both make parts of Robert Ludlum’s Jason Bourne series look like slow horses! The Gray Man is about a renegade CIA agent on the run and stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans; it’s based on Mark Greaney's debut novel of the same name. Fairclough’s factual stand-alone thriller Beyond Enkription is about a (real life) MI6 agent on the run from international organised crime gangs and Haiti’s TonTon Macoute from London to Nassau and Port au Prince to Miami. The Gray Man and The Burlington Files are both musts for espionage aficionados. The difference between them is that The Burlington Files series has had mainly five star reviews, it’s full of real characters and was written for espionage cognoscenti some of whom won’t have even heard of the ingenious spycraft tricks featured in this electrifying novel.

Youve gotta give this movie credit for 1) having little to no pc bullsh*t and 2) the action. Tom Cruise is, imo, the modern version of clint eastwood. someone who does his own thing with no exceptions, the type of guy who wouldnt necessarily be there for us in the current movie industry
@HonkyTonkManYeah2 жыл бұрын
Its one of those, when a boy sees it with his dad, he will always remember it fondly. I was always scared of the Ripper though - his scenes were super tense in the good, extreme kinda way. It is overall so over the top though, you kinda have to sit back and enjoy it as a semi-kids movie
@tmaguire20752 жыл бұрын
That’s what I thought when I first saw it. If it was supposed to be like made for kids/teens who enjoy Schwarzenegger, I think they nailed the market for this movie.
