If you are working with data sets or are a data analyst / data scientist and can you still use Google sheets as a data scientist

The CELL function gives you specific information about your cells. It's a great function to use when you're dealing with a large set of data and you want specifics about your cells. For example, when you want to know if your cell contains plain text, other values or just blank, the CELL Function will help you determine that with this formula: =CELL("Type",A1), if it returns an "l" you cell contains plain text, if it returns a "v" it contains other type of data like numbers and if it returns a "b" that means your cell is blank.

thanks. Can I do a line or bar, showing where a current stock price fall into the 52-week high and low, like they do in Yahoo Finance. for example, if the 52-week range is 20-60, current price is 40, then we show something like this: -------------•------------. The dot shows the current price. Thanks!

You can do a line chart but it won't be able to highlight the current price like it does in Yahoo Finance. Unfortunately, Google Sheets charts don't allow you to highlight a specific gridline in your chart.

Yes! You can absolutely do that. Just add the Function after the equal sign. For example, =SUM(IMPORTRANGE(spreadsheet_url, range_string)

Thanks for the tutorial. As you mentioned, it might depend on the situation, I mostly prefer using arrays. Especially for big data sets having more than one thousand rows, arrays work just fine.

Can I let an empty column using Query?.... something like this =QUERY('Sheet 1!A1:E'; "SELECT A, B, " ", C, " ", D)

You can't add empty spaces in between columns selected in the Query Function. And you're formula in selecting specific columns should be separated by commas and not semicolons, ex: =QUERY('Quarter 1 2022'!A1:E8,"Select A,B"). Semicolons are only used in separating your ranges in an array.

How about if your sheet2 and sheet3 were both 1stQuarter for 2 different years and you wanted to link them to the annual, with the intention of finding the annual average?

You can still link your sheets just make sure to rename your sheets with the proper year, for example, Sheet1 would be "2023 1st Quarter" then Sheet 2 would be "2024 1st Quarter." To get the annual average, just enter your formula at the end of your data set or table.
