M Des Ahmedabad Textile Design placements?

I am in 12th grade right now. I want to either go into engineering (particularly electronics) or design (product design). I like to do something hands on, I am planning to take a drop after 12th to either prepare for anyone (engineering exams or design exam). The problem I see is that in engineering there are less core (including electronics) companies offering jobs in India and after seeing this video I think there are less companies offering jobs in product design as well. Basically whatever I want to pursue is not there in India.

I checked the portfolios of NID students on NID's website and it's not up to the mark. I don't even understand how they able to get a job.

Congratulations for the new book! hi, the studio test for bachelors is on 28th, hardly 10 days left. i have been making stuffs, practicing sketching and also doing audio. but i don't feel confident enough, because we never know what they would ask.

Seeking your suggestion. My son (Science background) is in 1st year B Des at IIITDM Jabalpur. (one year dropper for preparation of UCEED/NID ). This year (2024) he ranked 2nd in NID prelim. Hence I like to know whether it will be wise to switch from B Des Jabalpur to NID Ahamedabad (if selected).
