My meters are reading when I talk via the mic input but no output from the mixer. How to solve this?

I'm new to digital mixers so forgive my noobness. I recently got this mixer qu 32. At first I was able to get the headphones to work testing with a regular mic about a week ago. But recently I decided to run some tests, practice to get used to the mixer some more and I couldn't seem to get any audio signal from the mic to the headphone. The meters are reading on both the channel and LR but nothing on the headphones. All I hear on the headphones is white noise. Am I doing something wrong with the routing? Or a setting? Please let me know! Thank you

Hello, how do I record the effects of my Qu-16 (reverb+delay) on Logic Pro X? When recording I hear the effects, but when I play the recorded track on Logic, the Qu-16 effects are not there... Thanks!

anyone know how to listen to exclusive mixes through the headphones? perhaps i should just put my headphones into some outs and route mixes to them. or even out different mixes to a separate mixer and use the headphone listen on the other mixer. it would be simpler if i could use one though.

hi just seen this video today. I am trying to record vocals to the computer with eq, comp and fx as the qu 16 board has amazing pre amps please assist on how to route to achieve this. I'll be so happy. I've had this board in the studio for years but never managed to this.

I've gotta say, the onboard FX on the X/M32 platform sound FAR better than those on the QU.

So when recording multitrack, does it not record any reverbs or EQ settings to the hard drive?

Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. Can you please help recommend a talk back mic that I can clip on or attach to headset? We don’t have mic stand in tight console space so I have to hold the mic everytime I want to speak. I’m thinking of using similar to those sports commentators, but I will attach to my mixing HP. This mixer plus an ipad with Auria Pro is a dream to have. You only have to put the tablet on its designated space and you get a complete standalone console with no extra desk space.

Dec 3rd 2020 Hi Tommy, I don't know if you're still responding this site, if you are I'll check back. Set-Up: 1.) I have Logic Pro X v .10.05.01 as my DAW 2.) I am using a QU-16 as my mixer. 3.) Plugged in the rear out USB directly into my Mac Book Pro 'Catalina OS' Question: I am Not geeing enough signal from the Qu-16 into the tracks. My Unconventional Remedy. I normally set each channel gain from a gain of 16-33 depending on the mic input for vocals; with gain staging in effect. The instruments - Acoustic-Lead-Bass-Keys-DRUMS ( another question) all instruments are normally inputting into the Logic Pro DAW at -20 to -30 with in audible signal QUESTION: How do I get more signal to my DAW w/o turning up the gain???? PS I tried turning up the gain to ridiculously high gains like 34-50 and turned down the volume sliders to 3 clicks which I know is anathema for any gain staging solution JUST TO GET A DAW imputes signal??? Wow very insightful, i’ve been using the pafl just to listen to what the input sources sound. But is there anything yu have to do in the settings so that when you select any mix and then pafl, it should not affect the L/R pa but only ur headphones.

Are you having trouble with feedback on a newer Mac with USB streaming? I was and came here for help. Thought I'd share some love and let you know that updating your firmware is the first place you should start. Fixed the issue for me without having to roll back to an old Mac OS operating system. Then follow Tommy's tips. Thanks Tommy.
