From the beginning to 8:57 - a story of the failure of the American church. Been there, done that. Of course the Bible teaches that we should expect to suffer at some point.

Very good so far. However here are a few thoughts. First, according to the Bible, all humanity share a common ancestor named Noah. The books of the Old Testament were not written down until Moses. I do not believe Moses copied any other source rather all these early people shared the same oral tradition, from Noah and his sons. Second, we don’t know why Moses wrote Genesis 1 & 2 the way he did. We can only guess then share an opinion. Third, every year we come closer to the fact that the Bible is historically accurate. It’s easy to say the Bible is historically inaccurate because we can find no evidence of the Hittites, the Philistines and King David…..until you do. Lastly, in the ancient Egyptian record the Pharaohs won every battle, every battle, even though other records tell another story. What are the chances that a Pharaoh would openly admit he allowed over a million slaves to leave?

Jesus walks with me every day and teaches me just like a father would teach his son or daughter but it starts with repentance and surrendering your life to Him., then He will mold you like the potter molds the clay.. it’s not only imitating Jesus but it’s knowing Him .. For by grace we are saved through faith and not ourselves for it is a gift of God.. so seek Jesus and surrender and watch Him change you to be more like Him❤️

The Spirit has led me to this new Mystical way of living the Christian Faith (dying to me, my ego, my self, & living in Christ, by the Spirit). Suddenly, The Spirit is keeping me away from Serving in the church and being more with God/attentive to the things of God/my true nature. Suddenly, I crave silence, connection with God, with others, and more of Holy Spirit. My Flesh My Ego was getting into the way of my Relationship with God and with Others. I was starting Inductive Bible study in a flesh way and my research showed me that this ancient book was full of changed names, words & that scholars all had different opinions on its meaning etc. So I turned to the Spirit. I was doing everything, including Bible Studying, with my Flesh & it was frustrating. I know the Bible emphasizes the Spirit life/focus and I look forward to growing in the Spirit of Christ more. Thank you Brother. I hope your message will help me in my journey dead to me and alive in Christ.

Amen, as a former atheist pastor's kid who was woken up by the voice of God one day, the discovery of Christian Mysticism has show me that I can Love Jesus in way that honors the call in my heart. Thank you for this message, amen.

Really enjoyed this. Thank you. I am looking into what you're talking about. This is the first channel/video I have watched that helps me feel safe exploring Christian mysticism. I have had so many experiences without trying and I want to understand. Left the church 9 yrs. ago. Been evangelical 15+ yrs. BUT I feel a yearning, longing to connect with Jesus, a disconnect from that church life I lived...lol...I don't know what to call it or how to explain it. This right here is a good start.

Thank you so much for this video and your channel. I've been called to christianity so many times during the last 7 years and seemingly since childhood. But always when I tried to go deeper in the past years I always felt that it was full of judgement. Especially people who followed the bible. I come from a pretty judgemental environment which I left behind many years ago and it felt so wrong how people judging others not being a real christian or that everybody on this planet has to follow Jesus. That christianity is the only path and they try to make everybody christian in such a harsh way. Doesn't allow any other opinion. The last weeks the calling felt strong again and again I tried to dig deeper. But same happened. The same judgemental comments and videos I found here on KZbin. But this time I didn't stop searching. I really wanted to understand. There must be more to the teachings of the bible or christianity. Looking for the wholesome, loving and non- judgemental way. And I guess I found it. Christian Mysticism seems like the answer for me. Also you explaining how to read the bible makes so much more sense for me. You already gave me so many answers I was looking for and I'm now more than excited to start my journey into this path of christianity. Again thank you very, very much.🙏

Faith is more of a belief system for people, but true faith is a state of being, where a person is fully surrendered to love, since God is love. You put love before anything else, that's why my meditatioi practices are centered around love. As the bible says, anyone who knows love, knows God. Meditation is a gradual process of kenosis (self emptying), just as Jesus sacrificed himself for us, we sacrifice ourselves for him. In various branches of mysticism this has various names such as anatta (selflessness) in Buddhism, fana (self-annihilation) in Islam, or bittul (self-nullification) in Judaism. When there is no you, and there is only God, then and only then have we ceased our idolatry. Lust, hate, greed etc.. are the false idols / gods within us that lead us away from the true God which is love. "No strange god shall be within you, neither shall you prostrate yourself to a foreign god." - Psalms 81:10

I think Christianity is a mental construct, that doesn’t reflect the reality. I can appreciate the history but Jane idea of judgement, punishment, raising from the dead is just make belief. On the one hand, hell is a fire, but the book of Hebrews talks about God being the consuming fire. So if you are experiencing fire after you die, are you with God or apart from him? If God was real, then he’d be uniformly experienced by those seeking God, as opposed to the multitudes of religious experiences.

Why did Jesus die on the cross? You try being hung up like that, and you'd die too. Actually, the other ones crucified had their legs broken in order for them to die by a certain hour, but Jesus had been scourged first, and had lost so much blood that he died before that hour. I know there's a lot more to this, seeing as how Jesus could have fled, or defended himself with thousands of angels, or recanted, but I still thought I'd point out the obvious answer that first came to mind when I read the title question. There's a really good webpage that compares the atonement to a dialysis machine. Actually there are two by the same author, but the better of the two is where you see the charts pointing out what happened in the old covenant atonement. Jesus is opening the door for the nations, including Israel, to be cleansed of their (our) wickedness, so that they can become God's people without any obstacles.

May you be blessed, you and your family, and may your ministry prosper as much as God will allow. This was so insightful, as a woman seeking to follow Christ and His word, but struggling with these exact part of the Bible. I thank the Holy Spirit for having me led to that video. He truly loves us so so much, willing to come meet us exactly where we're at, and grow from there. We are not worthy God, but you still love us anyway!

Jon Adams, can you do a deep dive into the symbology behind each of the images among the 7 bowls, what each symbol could mean in a practical sense, and possible ways to put it together. For example, bearing the mark of the beast could be practicing satanism and the sores are the natural consequences from those practices. Bowl 1 with the sores is the warning. Bowl 2 being poured onto the sea, water often represents people so maybe a sea represents a nation where 'blood of a corpse and every living thing died in the sea' could represent the death of a nation. Bowl 3, then what would springs and rivers represent if it points toward groups of people? With water representing people, verse 6 makes sense of these people having persecuted the saints and as a result they are killed by the angel's bowl. But in bowl 2 and 3 it doesn't explain causation of death of the seas, rivers, and springs which might be where it overlaps with the trumpets or other revelation imagery. Bowl 4 is another warning but what does the sun symbolize? Many verses talk about the contrast of sun (God's divinity) and moon (darkness and evil). Verse 9, God's divinity (sun) punishes evil? Could fire be restoration of holiness? Could plagues be self-inflicted evil and less of literal locusts? Verse 10, people who follow satanism is removed from being able to see God's holiness, or live righteously, and their lives become chaotic and dark - we all know these people. Pain - emotional, sores - physical consequences for doing evil (speaking in a general sense). Thx!

I am new to Christianity but have a layered and diverse spiritual background. I have also experienced deeply mystical encounters with the Divine, that are hard to put words to. I’m extremely (and perhaps exclusively) drawn to a mystical interpretation of the the Bible and Christian teachings. Everything you speak about here holds such deep resonance with what I have known and felt to be true. Yours is exactly the type of content I’ve been seeking!! I do hope that you continue ❤ I would so love to follow along a Bible study guided by you.

Genesis 19:30-33 does have a positive message when you see that Ruth came from that lineage. Which is amazing how God used such a history to bring something good. And then Jesus came from Ruth. Again God can use a messy past to bring out an amazing future. We dont have to allow our past to define who we can become.

I personally felt him do many times and i was far from perfect, and i felt like a bright light entered me and a tremendous love covered me! I believe in Jesus so much!!!! The mystics meditate. Mark 13:37 I say to you and to all, Watch. Watch means become awaken. Make thine eye single. Seek the kingdom It’s within. Woe to those who do not enter within. The prodigal son is the “Christian” or the religious man. He is called back to meditation where the “God” mind is. The mind that has no “man” thought. Christian can’t read the Bible because Proverbs 1:6. They don’t know any ancient sayings.

Thank you for your more focused approach. At this point I do believe mysticism is result of the revelation of Jesus in our own hearts, and the more we work on being obedient and studying his ways in prayer through obedience, we become mystical at least that’s what it looks like to the world around us looking at us, I have subscribed I thank you again I’ve been watching past videos your testimony, and more who has encouraged me thanks again and God bless you in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit

Hi :) what about the rosary? I tried meditating for years and it never did anything for me. Then I started praying the rosary and I reach meditative state in minutes and I LOVE it. Also, it is proven that it lowers your heart rate rather quickly and is a more effective way to get into a relaxed state than a lot of other relaxing techniques. ❤
