Hi, great video! Here I'm struggling to find a way to do this with metahumans.... unfortunately I start to see the seams between the head and the body... would you have any idea?

Hello lievenvanhove :-) Thank you for your praise of the video! The issue with seams between the head and body of Metahumans can indeed be frustrating. Unfortunately, I haven't tried anything with Metahumans yet, so I can't help you with that. I hope you've found a solution by now? Best regards, Danny

@@Trickschmiede Hi Danny, yes, I think so... I'm trying now to do the displacement in other software, and afterward to use mesh morpher to add it again.

Hi, thanks for this great tips, but at 2.33, after I hit accept to apply the displacement, the mesh explodes into a flickering mess of verts. I used the same settings as you, so i dont know why Edit: Ive found its cos my mesh had multiple UDIMs, it worked fine for single UDIM mesh.

Hi. Do you have experience with using the displacement node on static meshes? I have a problem that I'm stuck on for 3 days now. Whenever I have a seam on my static mesh, the displacement always causes open cracks. Like flipped normal or something. I tried everything, I always have problem on the UV seams and there is no way to stop it from cracking and making holes. Do you know any trick how to keep the UV seams and stop it from cracking? Thanks.

You need more geometry, a dense mesh

Looks like it's still experimental. I tried to apply a displacement texture and the editor crashed. But look forward to this being stable in the future! Great video!

Hi Dontstopbelievingman ;-) Yes, the editor crashes for me too sometimes. I think they'll significantly improve this in Unreal Engine 5.4. Otherwise, we'll just have to wait. Thanks for your comment and best regards, Danny.
