@ Pushing off of the mound, causing early trunk rotation and minor arm drag from my looks. Also that ‘push’ that he had in the first one gave him false rotation in his hips so lower amounts of shoulder hip separation. Second one it looks like he drives off of the back leg and rotated really hard and then the torso with no arm drag.

What happens if you do this, but your upper body tilts over your left leg? (I'm a righty)

Hi I’m a pitcher who is trying to throw harder and not get injured. I tend to swing open my front leg and I seen one of your videos that said you need to get more athletic in the back leg. I was wondering if you had any plyo ball drills or throwing drills that could help. I’m subscribed

I recommend going onto a mound with socks on and just riding the hinge so you get deeper. An elite lower half is designed like this: A drift forward, an aggressive one at that so you can focus on going down into your legs and not foward so you can go over your front leg. The loading and hinge mechanic, And the rotation.

Soooooo awesome!!!!! Everything I’m teaching my son Rhett but do not have the scientific words to explain all the whys and how’s u are now explaining in major detail. Your student Evan sweeting is his coach and everything u are teaching in this video is what rhett does. Right now I’m teaching him to get to 90. He plays Qb so he tends to come inside the 90 and his angle is concave. Less than 90 like a Qb. From the ear. Which creates all kinds of issues in accuracy and velocity issues. Now I can show him this. Would like to hear what u said right after the last few seconds about why we don’t want to start inside 90 in detail. He also was supinating and path was outside and he was getting around the ball like u teach slider. Which he has nasty movement but essentially he thought he was throwing a fastball but was throwing a 4 seam slider. He’s really gaining velocity as he learns to pronate and stay behind the ball but still is not at that perfect 90 from start of forward trajectory. Why do we not want to bring the elbow inside the 90 ? What does that do exactly? It’s bad on the elbow correct? And breaks the linear function and trajectory? Thanks for the wealth of knowledge ❤

As long as the lead leg block stops the hips rotation and alows the upper half to begin to rotate lead leg flexion into extension shouldn’t be what is worried about it may look that way but that is not what happens it’s more of a proximal issue

Evidence showing that two hand throws are safer on the UCL than one hand overloading. One handed causes more external rotation, which increases velo, but also injury.
