In terms of essay writing, how important is a complex argument? My teacher always gives me Band 3 answers due to a lack of complexity and nuance, but I read exemplars from the examiners report and the arguments are no more complex than mine.

You can definitely get an A without nuance, as long as your argument is clear and justified. Nuanced arguments are one of the main things that separate A from A* students, though.

Just to clarify, nuance would be (assuming the Q was something like, does the PM dominate cabinet) concluding by considering the personality of the PM, the strength of the cabinet itself, the size of the majority, the national circumstances etc.?

As it's a factors question, you shouldn't just do themes, you need to compare the factors. The red was me stating different factors, the green is me putting them into a plan for a factors question answer.

All you need to know when in government is how to help the country and its people, how to stop unnecessary money being given to people who have wealth in the country and in government. That is a start. Also make sure the voting ballots are not able to be fiddled.
