I bought two baguettes and I realized that the longer leather strap isn’t one solid piece. You can see two different areas where they were sown…it annoys me 😂😂. For the amount, they could’ve used a solid piece. 😅😅 I wish I would’ve seen this before my purchases 👍 The SA did tell me to take both straps and link them together to have the straps long enough to crossbody. Buuut the difference in strap width is a bit annoying

Oh gosh, I dread to think how long it will take to get this type of project completed in Germany! I’ve been living in Germany for four years. Even getting someone to replace a window took months and months at our house! Good luck and I hope you will finally get everything completed one day. I will be leaving Germany in the next two years as everything takes too long to get done and everything is too expensive ❤

Thank your for your advice! 🙏 Yes, we definitely consult the neutral Statiker next and plan to get a few more quotes, to see if there's a more reasonable option. Hi Mary, I am sorry to hear about your troubles...but do not worry- you will get on the other side...trust me- I just build a house, renovated 2 apartments and 2 shops in the last 3 years- it is overwhelming and scary at times....what I can advise you as a side note is before doing anything- check with your municipality, if you need some building permission and also in some cases , if an expert deems your roof " unsafe"- you can get tax deductions or even some grants from the local government...also, after checking of where you stand- you can decide, if you want to rebuild just the roof or make a whole new extension of your apartment ( usually the cost is very close to a roof repair)...good luck..keep us updated

Roof could be super expensive. I think a neutral expert would give the best advice. I am not an expert but if the house is 60 years old it may be the best to do everything new I guess. Otherwise you may end up new problems very quickly dunno 🤷🏻‍♀️ It is ofc not ideal but at least you will be glad after it is done. Maybe you can even add on some solar panels? It might be advantageous for tax deductions
@LuMiLevelUp
@LuMiLevelUp 3 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! You're spot on- apparently the entire roof construction seems to be the most expensive part of a house, so it’s definitely worth getting a neutral expert involved. With a more than 60-year-old home, it might be best to tackle everything at once to avoid future headaches. As for those solar panels, we’re on it for the future (put probably not right now, since the costs are already that high without them) - but we’re already in touch with some experts about energy efficiency and potential tax deductions related to the project. So, who knows? I might end up with a fabulous new roof and some eco-friendly perks! Thanks for the encouragement! 💖

Oh my goodness, that’s a big surprise. I’m sorry this is happening to you. You did so well with your vocabulary, thank you for that effort. Is the beetle damage new/fresh or from the past (like the wasps)? If it’s new I would make sure you also call an exterminator who would kill off and treat the wood for the beetle and other wood eating pests. In the USA we have ants and termites that eat our wood structures. Hopefully you can just do the new beams next to the old. That sounds wise. You should turn the Chanel temporarily into a renovation channel so we can keep giving you views and growth. Good luck in your project, routing you on from the US!! Xx

How stressful & exhausting having to deal with all of that! We didn’t have beetles, but did have termites that love to eat through wood as well. In opening things up, they found asbestos which shut down construction. When we got the new roof, roofers used nails that were too long & punctured a gas line. The city had to shut the gas off in our home. So no gas dryer, stove, water heater, etc. for 2 months until it got fixed. This was during Covid so it took a very long time to get fixed because the original roofer claimed he used the correct size nails & it was the people or originally placed the gas lines too close to the roof. Had to get an attorney. Almost 4 years later all is well & looking good. The experience made us want to sell the house & just rent so the landlord would have to be responsible for things like this. Best of luck to you!!
