Excellent job, excellent work, now I have a question for you , I have a wc12 and it's missing the transmission what will fit the wc12 for a transmission ? Is there a model on your transmission because it looks like the one that was in mine, the guy that had mine had the transmission rebuil and it sat around in the rong place and the junk man junked it , any informanation would be greatly appreciated , thank you

In service W/ Regular Army units in Germany to about mid-1972, in service w/Michigan National Guard units till about 1976. Drawbacks were single-stage Master Cylinder, Brakes, Cheap Government Batteries, 25 amp Generator and Mechanical Voltage Regulator, Sucks Gas, otherwise an outstanding and well respected truck.

Don't forget to change out the gaskets on the top cover. It's a place often overlooked and might allow air to stop gas to flow through. Good video though!

Excellent job. Interesting color choice on the fenders. Where did you get the new tires from?
@dodgerehab6984
@dodgerehab6984 Жыл бұрын
Hi @450moto9! The fender color choice is based upon original photos I have seen of Explosive Ordnance M37s. It varied a little from unit to unit. The tires came from Coker Tire, purchased through Summit Racing Equipment.

Outstanding Video ! I have the EXACT WC21 model truck as yours . I bought 2 of them from an old Repair shop in Pa . One as a parts truck as you have : ) They had 3 WCs The one I bought was purchased as a "spare" truck if parts were needed . The truck I bought is in 100% ORIGINAL condition ,other than its painted in red primer and black ONLY on the Upper parts of the truck .Everything else is Still in Olive drab original paint . My truck is Complete as delivered to the Ordinance Dept of the US Army . Complete with all the "Original Top and Bent wooden Top Bows , Seats all original gauges and wooden map board and tool kit . Most importantly I have the brow bar that is Needed for installing the Canvas top . My dad had these trucks in his Company during WW2 . He was a Signal Corp Company Commander in the Phillipines and New Guinea . I have many photos of these trucks in service in WW2 . Thanks !

You should Always POLISH and clean those Spring Hanger pins and Light Grease before installing AND Never use a STEEL Ball peen Hammer to Pound them In . BRASS or Lead hammer should be used . I Have TWO WCs one restored and the other for spare parts . Beautiful Trucks They certainly Are : )) Best of Luck with It . Starting on my 1957 Dodge Power Wagon NEXT !! : ))

Well done Boys! You guys took a Dead $3500 truck and turned it into a $20,000 piece of military history. I had a 1941 WC-6 Command Car but had to let her go to move closer to my Dad before He passed. I miss them both very much. This truck's gonna look great with the steam bent bows and all the canvas! Keep up the great work..

if the gin is bad and voltage regulater bad you can get a 28 volt alternator about $80.00 use same brackets + make i small one its 1 wire #6 to batteries and starter pedal use same meter on dash it will read 28 when running

some of these trucks are 24 v and some folks are switching to 12v -- the prob. with that is the starter is 24 volt the gen is 24v the head lights 24 v dist 24v so you end half power every where to save buying a battery
