No, just those two plus a R44, but we have now around 20 old ex. German Army that are now civilian registered (but sadly only with a permit to fly)

Yes they did....was quite the sight tho....! And man those rotor blades (those are German made Composite blades, they have a bigger blade chord), you could feel those rotor slaps in your chest and on the ground as they were hovering by 😂

Ugh i can't stand when such a beautiful helicopter in this case the Huey has that ugly kind of tail boom on it with that gap or whatever you want to call it that connects the tail rotor to the other piece that has the antenna for communication on the end of the tail boom

That IS great sounding, and fast flying, too!!! (Can tell is fast flying since greater Doppler effect and by 0:01 sounds bit higher pitched than normal approaching sound.) Great shot and EPIC rotor+tail blade sound, mate

That rotor sound is reminiscent of the Sikorsky S92A helicopter except a high pitch sound from it’s tail rotor

Holy crap they are loud! I sometimes hear them from a military training site where i live and I can hear them from minutes and minutes away and they suddenly appear in the sky!😀

When it's cold and there are no other sound sources around, I can hear them when they are about 12-14 km away

In Ahlen Germany! Sadly they sold their last 205 in 2017, but the have quite a bit of 206, 212, 412 (over 40 helicopters)

Thank you! I wasn't very active in the last years because my apprenticeship, but now I can go and look for hueys in the sky again! And now is the time where the hueys all come back from Spain/Portugal (they do firefighting there) and that means some rumble in the sky again

yep I remember growing up as a child hearing it.It would be 2-3 miles out and you're literally hearing it buzzing and not seeing it :-)

Yeah, I live about 17 km away from a company that owns about 30 to 40 212 and 412, some 206 as well! Always love to see them!

I basically heard these all the time as a kid, it is quite impressive how loud the bell 205 and 412 are, you could hear it and it'd just be a mere speck in the sky.

It is a 412, it has 4 main rotor blades; the 212 has only 2
