I thought of this movie the other day because of the "bullet with your name on it" bit. It seems like drones are becoming more and more like this, where politicians won't be able to go out in public for fear of being dive-bombed.

Imagine a 2024 remake about rogue A.I. programmed by bad guys to govern/terrorize a general populace that's fotgotten how to drive, cook, clean, garden, read, write, etc. Or a TV reality drama called "Offline" where people had to survive off the land without water/electricity while hiding from killer drones that used their biometric profiles (voice-prints, etc) to hunt people down like Luther's smart bullets because they refused to be ruled by the bad guys...

KISS had just taken their makeup off within the last year and it seemed like about half of the people in the theater were still unaware of what he looked like....but they knew that Gene Simmons was in the movie. The first scene Gene was shown in the movie heard a lot of gasps in the theater and whispering...."That is him!" So cool!

I had no idea the bad guy was played by Gene Simmons.No wonder the movie looked really good.

This is real today. Drones could be built or hacked to target people for assassination. Or your own machines could be hacked and turned against you. Yesturdays science fiction is todays reality.

I can't believe I finally found this movie. Insane to think it took me asking chat-gpt to actually find it. At first it thought I meant phantasm until I specified the robots were like little spiders that moved in swarms and chased a guy onto a sky scraper lol.

Damn man, Tom Selleck, Gene Simmons, hot chicks, and killer robots. What more could you ask for?

The best thing I can say about this movie is that it made me appreciate movies like Terminator and Robocop even more.

Damn! I checked out this trailer as I respect Rob Ager (a movie reviewer who suggested that this film is amongst his top 20-some Sci-Fi films of all time) but had no idea that Gene Simmons played the "Baddie" here...whoa nelly! He looks terrific in the part - I'll certainly give him that...I knew that Gene tried his hand at acting in the 80's and I've seen a horror film with him as a DJ who gives a kid a record that turns out the be possessed (or something to that effect, at least). He was pretty good! I'll definitely have to check this one out.

Kind of a mess, but cool and quirky, 80's style. The story moves along. Better than a lot movies made today. Gene Simmons was surprisingly good as a bad guy, and Cynthia Rhodes was hot. Really nice "futuristic" music score by Jerry Goldsmith.

I’ve got to watch this. I was born in ‘81 and there were some great films but I don’t recall this one.
