Qui, nice job! To coin a pun, you really “hit a nerve” on this video as I do have sciatica and I already do some of the exercises. Thanks for introducing some new exercises that I will try.

Excellent exercises for my back. I have lower back problems due to arthritis in my facet joints and found these exercises are great for loosening up my back in the morning.😊

We're sorry for the late reply. We were having difficulties with juggling the youtube page and treating patients at the clinic. I'll be managing it from this point forward! This manual technique is call the cervicothoracic junction manipulation. This is primarily used for people who have neck and/or upper back pain. We'll hear complaints about "stiffness" or "tightness" around this area. The technique is used like a "reset button" for the neck and upper back. We mobilize this area by doing a quick thrust as shown with the intention of hearing a click or popping sound. That represents the release to that area and thereby decreasing the sensation of tightness. It's usually complimented by some foam roll exercises to make the positive effects last much longer. I hope this answers your question. This video was meant to be eye catching for people. We'll try to make a new video showcasing these techniques in the future, however we also want to provide some practical techniques for people at home. -Qui Trinh, PT, DPT
