We hit a bad storm on the ground in NOLA years ago, delayed for a hour. Soon after takeoff we were hit by lightening and everything shut off for a second, you felt a gasp come over the plane.

It's a spin on SWA's loyalty/frequent flier program. Their tiers are A-List, A-List preferred, etc. And I fly them a LOT.

Nothing can be more satisfying than the sound of a Southwest Boeing 737 Max 8 at take off especially on board. Hearing the CFM LEAP 1 B engines at full power gives me goosebumps.

Nice video. Coming out of Denver and heading straight for the mtns is always a bit like that. The take off to 10K was ok, but once they got above 10k it got more than a bit bumpy, it looked wobbly from the air currents. Flying SSW is always tough out of Denver also because you never really get out of the affected jet stream. I feel for you.

I have flown 200 times or more in my life, from cessna 150 to a C5A Galaxy and everything in between. Also 166 skydives. This kind of view never gets old, what a great start to this flight. it gave me chills just watching it. It also looked very smooth, meaning not a lot of turbulence.
