Serge Savard always knew what horses to buy and always had the money to buy them with.

Chris was never much of a driver but he does and did drive better on trotters than pacers.
@parkerbohnn12 күн бұрын
He's right up there with the likes of John Campbell, Ron Waples senior and Michel Lachance. I'd rank him fourth or fifth as Canada's all time best.

I was the only person on earth who knew about Bulldog Hanover. If you read all my comments on Woodbine replays I touted him to win the North America Cup after his 3rd race as a two year old. I also stated at the time he should have sold for $280,000 not $28,000. Once Bulldog Hanover got a real driver everything changed. Dexter Dunn showed the true greatness of Bulldog Hanover to the world. I also stated Sylvia Hanover would be a world champion at age 2 and 3 after only her first qualifier as a two year old. That was an easy one Bulldog Hanover wasn't an easy one.

I was the only person on earth who knew Bulldog Hanover was headed for greatness. All my comments on Woodbine Replays show I was the only person who knew about The Bulldog as far back as his 3rd race as a two year old. I also picked Sylvia Hanover to be world champion at age 2 and 3 after her first qualifier as a two year old. As seen on my comments about her on Woodbine Replays.

My brother lives on Cam Fella Boulevard in Stouffville. I saw everyone of his races at Greenwood live included the race he finished second. The true greatness of the horse will never be known because Pat Crowe drove him. Something like Jody Jamieson driving Bulldog Hanover.

Old "baby faced" Trevor. The most memorable was probably in a loss to Jate Lobell in the North America Cup by a nose. That was back in the good old days when they didn't dilly dally with horses and whipped them like at Flamboro Downs, Barrie Raceway and Orangeville Raceway. Both horses were under the lash that night.

Carl was a good trainer and there were worse drivers like Reg Gassien and Pat Crowe. I'd put Carl on a par with Roger Mayotte. Mayotte Coyote.

Arguably the greatest racehorse -- ever. And if Dan Patch would ever get the Seabiscuit treatment on the silver screen.......the legend could do for harness racing what the awesome movie on 'Biscuit did for the Thoroughbreds.

I told them it must be the Woodbine HOF!! ALSO, 100 years to induct the greatest horse ever, ok. At least, FINALLY, Man O'War is honored and shown respect.
@theOlLineRebel11 ай бұрын
Perhaps they weren’t ready to honor a horse only connected with 1 race in Canada. Can’t say I really blame them. It’s like Phar Lap on the top 100 of US horses.when he only raced once just outside the US.
