I'm DMing a game where the characters are amnesiac, starting classless and through their choices they get to remember who they are, and I've decided that they are actually in Pandemonium, hence why they can remember how they got there. Thanks for this excellent video, it gave me a few idea of how to build on my foundation idea. Plus there are going to start in Agathion, and try to crawl there way up the layers. mouhahahahaha

The way you describe early on getting overwhelmed, describing it like a really busy/noisy environment and someone asking you a question... Thank you for that. I've been looking for the right words for a while now... you just perfectly described what it's like living with autism... what's different for everyone on the spectrum is mainly their threshold for overstimulation of each sense. Sorry, I know that has almost nothing to do with the video, but it was important for me to say thank you lol.

What is a hero without people to save? You might argue that a world without problems would be a sort of hell for these people. It's a world where they are not needed. It's sort of like the reverse of that one twilight zone episode where a criminal ends up in a paradise, only to find it's actually Hell because it's so boring.

The fact that weve had 80 years of relative peace after ww2 is amazing. Basically since then theres been a sensation of our societies declining because we're focusing on other things than national conflicts like justice and respect across lines like ethnicity, race and gender

I was gonna ask why kuya doesnt like dice rolling in Machi Koro, but then he mentions decisions that are essentially gonna cause a likelihood of buyer's remose. Understandable to an extent. Also bear in mind some games benefit from not being as dense as twilight imperium or god forbid warhammer 40k.

Just got Atlas Engine. It's like a newer version of NBOS's Fractal World Explorer. A world and continent generator. If you want to do the whole thing from scratch then there's other tools for that. You cycle randoms until there's something close to what you want.. then you sculpt that to perfection and export to WD, PS, etc.

Oh look, someone criticising an optional feature of a game they’re probably never gonna use for the mere fact of existing! Seriously, if you’ve never thought about making a disabled character, good for you, you’ll never have to use a combat wheelchair in DnD. Congratulations! In the meantime, this will be useful for the people who indeed do want to create characters who would rely on things like that. Why bitch and moan about it if by your own admission it’s not gonna affect you in any way?

I know this firsthand. I like Imps. Imps have resistance to basically everything, slashing, piercing, bludgeoning, cold, etc. They are also immune to fire and poison and have advantage on saving throws caused by magic. They can also fly and can use their action to turn invisible. One of my players found a way to light the room on fire. I know imps very well, they are my favorite monsters, they used they hid in the fire after using their action to down one of my players... My players were level two.

Don't let the Harmonium or the Fraternity of Order hear you pronouncing the city's name as "Sid-Jil" or you'll risk being arrested. 😜 The only legal and correct way is "Siggle" with a hard G.

I wouldn't recommend using a consent form. Have one on hand for session 0 as a reference but don't give it out to people to fill in. D&D's a social game not the tax office. We fill out forms like character sheets willingly not because it's compulsory.
@MasterLycan8446 ай бұрын
I mean... I get wanting to have a discussion during Session 0 about what people are comfortable with creating a literal consent form for it feels rather excessive.
@thomastailby79266 ай бұрын
I don't think its excessive. Its a quick and easy way to get info on all topics, makes it less likely that you'll forget to bring something up, and when planning new story beats you can just look at the sheets to know what you can and can't include instead of trying to remember the details of the conversation from session 0. Though it does depend on what sort of things you man include in a story. He uses a form because its a very extensive list and hes likely found its the best way to do it. If i were GMing a lot of the things on that list is stuff I wouldn't even do, so having a physical form would be less necessary
@defiledsoul16586 ай бұрын
@@thomastailby7926 agreed these kinds of forms are good for dms planning to run more grim settings, because not only does it allow you to get a good understanding of oyur party boundaries, but also what story beats they'd like. And just because someone is not thr biggest fan of something doesnt mean it cannot be referred to in a tasteful manner. These forms are about respect. Period.
