Have you ever thought about tapping that Maple tree? If I were you I'd be tempted. I have read that it doesn't hurt the tree provided you do it correctly, and you get around 5-15 gal. depending on the tree size, rainfall, etc. Pancakes with Maple syrup, yum yum. :)

I think this is the first time I ever heard Bella meow, though the meows were soft and quick. Love how her human never forces her to do or not do anything, but merely makes suggestions. Bella shows a lot of independence (which is what cats do), but also keeps somewhat close to her human. A lot of cats I've known, as soon as they were outside and off a leash, they'd be GONE. They wouldn't stick around for anyone. Shows you the very high regard that Bella holds her human to.

Your babies have the best possible life. Love watching them live it.

What is a poor starving Kitty to do? You have been derelict in cat mom duties by still not teaching how to hunt the kibble beast! Although your leaf hunting abilities are appreciated. So Bella must prevail in hunting for herself. I can imagine how she would look at you when you took a bag of kibbles from the shelf. The "That is _all_ ? " face from Bella would be devastating. The socio-oeconomic background of earning enough money to buy the kibbles would be lost on her ;-) We were treated to Bella chirps and in fact, spectacular foliage colors!

Feel so sorry for folks who are allergic to cats. They are missing out of lots of pets, head buts and purrs! 🐈

Cat logic sometimes seems to be impenetrable to human reasoning. Mallory quite happily approaches people when on her walks but remains quite guarded when people meander across the open fields. I wonder if being in a harness affords her a sense of familiar safety in your presence she lacks when out in the open.

Ohhh...so many sweet looks and chirps from Bella! She probably can smell that it is Mallorys place ;-) Bella: "Mom, we need a silencer!" Mom: "To get dogs being less loud?" Mallory from behind bushes"...yes, sort of...I have some Ideas..." Maybe Bella tries to interest you in a Kanu like your neighbor has one...turned upside down it is a perfect lookout spot for winter. If you could put lots of straw, hay or at least)!) lots of leavers under it, that would do for winter camping out of the cats. As long as it is dry, windproof and has lots of dry stuff to bury in a cat will be more than happy to camp out in lower temps. Of course, a heating pad is welcome, too;-)

When I was living in Piedmont, Ca , I had an ex-girlfriend who was staying with me. One day, she had a job interview, so, off to San Leandro she went. Well, she didn't come back. Turns out she was allergic to my 6 cats(at the time.) so, she decided she wasn't going to tell me, just high tailed to Hayward, Ca. Well, the joke 🤣 was on her. Her uncle, that she went to stay with, had 2 cats. He eventually had 4 cats. She couldn't handle that, so, she finally headed to Idaho, to be with her family, who had moved there, after moving from Montclair, Ca. No cats there 😅. Haven't heard from her in a long time. You can bet she was there many times in the dark, without telling you ;-) If you have big owls, maybe not. She is always wary of aerial threats.

Bella plays with you and the leaves, and high speed chase is a game too. But she wants to be caught to be petted...it will be a long dark winter...so get the fun in while you can! But there will be a spring, of course ;-)

I would watch Olympics if they had cathlets. And Bella would be in the top league. Bella is much more human and cat sister oriented than Mallory. Two of Bellas type might be too much, even for a cat mom like you. Mallory was human watching ;-) The trees were an explosion of red, and looked like they were aflame.

Has Bella scaled the batting cage again? I freely admit I found that scary, especially her dismount. What a long way down that was! Edit: The foliage on your backyard maple is exquisite.

You need to put that recording on TV in an endless loop ;-) Cats will love that! You will need a sturdy TV mount, though...

Good thing it causes no discomfort. Extra toes are nice.but if cats develop opposable thumbs we are in trouble ;-)

This was nice 🙂. I quite enjoyed it. Some years ago, my mom and I had a cat that had extra toes, on each front paw. Her name was Thomas Anne. She was a total sweetheart 💕💗. She's been gone for many years, now. Miss you girl 😢🙏. Forever in my heart ❤️❤🎉. 11/7/24.
