The worst part as an offsider is cleaning the rig everytime theres down time, which i found pointless. If a breakdown is going to take 30 mins to fix, theres no point in cleaning the machine. That was the hardest part for me and what made me quit in the end. Some drillers would make us clean hand rails 😂.

I live in one of the biggest mining cities in North America Nope never catch me underground..That said i love surface drilling. 3 years now ..Only time that was scary was a bear sat on a rock watching us 30ft away ..Yup explain that one to the boss ..
