Thank you for the free content, Michael. As a non-IB student, I was always intrigued by IB's approach to the TOK course contents, I am glad your free resources are there to help people who do not take such lessons.

Thank you for sharing! The image with the 12 concepts has been on my wall--and was shared with all DP teachers--since day one of the academic year so I'm happy with myself, haha. I am teaching the conceptual approach that is in the guide but felt it made much more sense to teach identity and culture first while getting to know the students' identities and sharing mine, so I re-ordered it appropriately. I also teach Eng A L & L so also focus on the identity and culture concepts in that class first as well to make huge links to characterization & setting along with TOK. Also, in the spirit of sharing & since you inspired me to find it, here is an article on the Tulsa massacre that links to both historical revisionism and politics very easily: Marshall, K. (2021, May 29). Tulsa Race Massacre: For years it was called a riot. Not anymore. Here's how it changed. Retrieved July 15, 2021, from tulsaworld.com/news/local/racemassacre/tulsa-race-massacre-for-years-it-was-called-a-riot-not-anymore-heres-how-it/article_47d28f77-2a7e-5b79-bf5f-bdfc4d6f976f.html Cheers.

it is strongly recommended to base the exhibition on A theme...not more than one.
@theoryofknowledge1013 жыл бұрын
Hi Chaotichris, thanks for your comment, which deals with an important issue. Although it’s strongly recommended to use one of the themes as your context (and I would definitely make this recommendation to my students), exhibitions are NOT assessed on this. The IB makes this recommendation not for assessment reasons, but because it will give the exhibition more focus, thus making it easier for students to write. Students should not see the discussion of the themes as their target for the exhibition. Instead, they should be aiming to show how their objects are interesting for the exploration of the IA prompt, and the way TOK manifests itself in the real world. If you watch and listen to the IB’s webinar on the exhibition, you’ll see that they say it’s acceptable for different objects to relate to more than one theme.
