For any of you watching this video, the term "Asperger's Syndrome" and the use of functioning labels actively harm the disability community as they are rooted in eugenicist ideology dating back to Nazi Germany. Asperger's Syndrome was coined to determine which people with autism were making contributions to society that would be considered meaningful and productive, and would therefore be spared from the holocaust and instead be put to work. The term was removed from the DSM in 2013. Do not use "Asperger's Syndrome" to refer to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Is it possible to create a pool from a test? I have a previously made MCQ test and want to use it to create a "question block" test in another course I teach.

Is there a way to have the instructions that are entered when a Pool is created show within each of the questions that is added to the Pool and used in a test? I have an instructor wanting to have instructions with a language audio file appear with every Pool questions pulled into an exam. Thank you.

Most of professors pictured in the video were mostly white males or male. This video sends the wrong message about what a professor looks like to students.

Thanks for your comment, Cynthia. We work to highlight the rich diversity on our campus, but sometimes we don't hit the mark. Thanks for calling us out on it. We'll do better next time.

We investigated this video further, and here is what we found for the use of images: 6 images of females portrayed as professors, 10 images of males portrayed as professors. Of the 10 images of males, 5 are white and 5 are men of color. Of the women, two are white, and 4 are women of color. As an office, we will continue to work to improve our use of images in everything we produce. Thank you again for taking the time to comment on our video!

Torie - Thank you for demonstrating how to build a Blackboard Test Pool. When I attempted to upload questions, I found that the questions were not in the correct format. Here is a link to a webpage that shows how to format question pool files for uploading. blackboardsupport.calpoly.edu/content/faculty/tips_upload.html Thank you again.
