@@ethandoyle4999 we use 2pc rods so the cord is just simply tied just incase the top half Flys off during casting cause we fish in pretty rough current most of the time and if it Flys off your not gettin that top half back,it's basically insurance

It's a 2 piece rod sometimes the top piece can fly off when casting the string is tied to the main bottom piece so if it does happen it won't sink to the end of your line

It's just light cord ,we do that around here due to the fast moving current incase your top half of the rod happens to fly off cause you'll never get it back,basically insurance lol

It was such a killer day !!! Landed 3 total but this guy was a surprise since we been catching 3-4ft for over a month here since they are spawning, little ones not giving the big guys a chance to eat but this guy found it first luckily, 9ft 300+ lbs

They are white sturgeon, these ones are small & migrating up river ,they get usually up to 12ft at the most nowadays

It's about 55ft ,it's a deep hole right where I casted at ,everywhere else around it is at about 12-23ft the big sturgeon will chill in this hole since its just off the main current and they can find the bait easier in this hole since it's a Lil calmer water there
