It's now 6 years since you posted this video. What are your experiences with your steps? How often are you now going aloft after installing them? Which alloy aluminium did you use? Did you use aluminium rivets or monel?
@LeeShoresLazyJacksandLunches2 ай бұрын
Hi, it’s been a while as you say and my memory is incomplete. I believe that the aluminium was 6061-T6. The rivets, rightly or wrongly, were aluminium. I have sold Induna now and have a Najad 390 without mast steps. I did use them frequently and miss them. Will think about installing them again, though I may think about buying folding steps. Making them was quite an effort. Cheers, Dave

Fantastic videography again chaps, the best display of chins I have seen for ages. And as for “getting the flappy things up” was that a brief glimpse of a cruising chute? You could have knocked me down with a feather. What I want to see is how well the cruising chute compares down wind with the windage of Cool Runnings circus big top of a cockpit tent. Getting off anchor without a Helm, absolutely classic Lee shores lazy jacks and lunches.. But the biggest surprise was you got out of the Solent well done. As for me well I took my Moody on the Westerly Summer Rally all the way to St Marlo. But that’s another story.
