Hey man, does the lift kit affect ride comfort at all? I put some miles on my Freelander but occasionally might benefit from a wee bit more clearance.

Did you find an answer? (I run a 2008 FL2) There's a permanent live in the fusebox in the passenger footwell (assuming RHD) It's for the interior lighting. I ran mine from there up the door seal, through the window frame (behind the airbag for obvious reasons) and through the seal between the headliner and windscreen. There's a very useful bolt in the door for the earth.

I noticed that when I practiced this technique @ home, the tail of the bowline finishes on the outside of the gain, not inside like I'm used to. Is this still considered a bowline with this alternative finish ?

Okay I get that you want to replace the existing non-waterproof ducting but even so…

Why wouldn’t you modify the existing air intake vent opening rather than make another LARGE hole in the wing? Apologies if this is a really dumb question….

It’s just the turbo chattering as it’s gone from being heavily loaded under boost to not loaded at all, perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

Potentially stupid question, but is there any affect on performance due to the air intake not being in the direction of travel (when going forwards I mean)?

A valid question Stuart, but no, no performance issues at all, it helps the engine 'breath' cleaner cooler air. And facing backwards means rain / splashed puddles etc aren't forced into it as you drive. 👍🚜

I had the same thoughts as to whether the air passing by the opening created a venturi effect which might suck air out of the tube. We need a Part II video with running up and down the M4 at speed (not that it is actually possible to achieve speed on the M4 these days) 🙂

I would have continued watching this, but youtube's war on adblockers has kicked in after refreshing from trying to skip a pointless advert for feminine products (I'm definitely not in need of them!) and it again thinks I have an adblocker, so sorry, I won't be watching any more of your videos for a while, I quite enjoyed what I have watched of it. Might "see" you in a few months.

I agree Dave and may follow up with a second version some time down the line. This was a spur of the moment filming while I had some time on my hands waiting for client's to arrive. Unfortunately no plan to film meant I wasn't equipped with a tripod etc. Thanks for your feedback. 👍
