hi cathy, how have you been? is patty doing ok, have not heard any news about her for awhile. i have just been up to the same old thing really, dog watching my friends dog during the week and going to my local senior center. have been off and on with the internet and i know i should have checked up on pattys health. hope all is going well for both of you and that things are positive. let me know how she is doing and how you are doing as well. i will try to send a little something to you when i can. my rent went up a hundred dollars a week so money is really tight for me these days, anyway hope you had a decent summer and had some fun! getting old is really no fun, lol , just have to hang in there i guess. hope to hear from you soon. give my best to patty and god bless always, your friend, rob

We got two cartons of buttermilk instead of the skim milk. Only 2 cookie packs, only 1 cauliflower, and no sweet taters. Everything else was the same. 😊

VOTE: prefer 1 bag/holiday at a time, but if you are up for a marathon, that's okay too. Sorry I missed you live yesterday (Sunday 7/14th). I've been sick with influenza for two weeks. Received my SNAP card on same day I got sick. Finally went to Hispanic grocer early yesterday, at 7:00 am when the doors opened, so I could go before it heats up for the day. It was 76F but 98% humidity, so misery index was already 85F. Was only gone for 1 hour & 15 minutes, but it wore me out. Fell asleep around 10 am & didn't wake up until 9pm! Doctors really need to give explicit instructions, what does "cut back on protein" really mean? How many protein grams per day? Which diet do they want you to follow? Do they want you back on vegan or something else? It's about as useful as saying "loose x weight" but not giving any diet roadmap to follow. Gotta say I'm surprised by kidney issue because you had excellent test results for years on primarily plant-based diet, and now to have Stage 3 in just 2 - 3 months' time seems strange. Did oxalates play a role, or something else found in certain plants? Hope you can stop it in its tracks; since Hurricane Beryl closed so many dialysis clinics, hospitals in Houston are on overload. As far as Saturday's "incident" is concerned, I only watched it twice so far (too tired to analyze it frame by frame), but it looked staged. Don't understand many people saying 5 shots, others saying 8 shots, yet only 1 grazed Trump's ear? Why weren't there more injuries/deaths with so many bullets flying around? Why didn't people in Trump's background stampede out of there? They were all sitting ducks, supposedly. Find it ironic that Trump made that snide remark about President Biden being a Manchurian Candidate during 1st debate, yet it's Trump that was shot! That's not how the movie supposed to go! I think you need to have a talk with Patty that her behavior with alcohol doesn't just affect her, it affects you too. Let's face it, once you turn 60 years old, it's downhill, we're all dying regardless of any diagnosis doctors give. Also, her family members need to step up, let them worry about packing/shipping/costs/etc. of Patty's effects, or just let it go to a nearby charity (Am-Vets maybe?). Even if you were not already POA, you would have enough to worry about just taking care of your own medical issues & surviving on low income. Every person has a limit what they can do for another person no matter how much you love & care about them. It's a lonely feeling when you know the help you give out now for others will not be reciprocated when it's your time of need.

Wish I could help money wise but money is tight. I have stopped send temu for a while. Will pray for you. I am OK with either or taping of temu. Alchol is a mighty tough one. Can't make anyone do what their not willing to do.

Just watched the Presidential Debate this morning (went to bed early last night). Trump sounded so ridiculous, especially when he called Pres. Biden a Manchurian Candidate. Was Trump on a psychedelic drug that caused him to conflate reality with a Hollywood movie? Lord have mercy! Pres. Biden did a great job, sticking to facts & not muddying the waters with asinine grade-school level bullying tactics
